Which of your five senses do you value most?
Also no sixth sense bull okay? Keep it realistic here.

oh and for all of those that do not have all five senses....hehehe yeahhhhh my bad....sorry about that.

I guess just switch the number of senses to the appropriate number then.

Sight is the most useful. Taste is my favourite tho. If that makes sense?

Basically I'd rather be blind than never enjoy food again. Tho I suppose you also need touch to enjoy food properly as well, meh.

All are equally important to me, and I don't have a favorite. Who would have a favorite sense? That's just nonsense.

I can tell you my least favorite one, smell. I could probably live without smelling.

Touch.....like the feeling of my fingers touching this keyboard.....mmmm.......

Huh? Where was I? Oh, yeah, sight is pretty cool, too.

I figured someone would post something like this. Okay fine...I'll go into the "hypthetical realm" -sigh-

Let's say that you are caught in a major disaster that you barely survive from but will be permanently scarred from. Let's say this disaster causes you to lose all but one of your senses, what would you prefer that sense be?

Sight, absolutely, because it's very difficult to cope without it. Shame mine is so dreadful.

If I had to choose one I'd go with sight.

I can handle losing the others, but not being able to see would drive me insane.

My crushing sense of despair and anxiety about the future. Oh wait.

Also, for the record: There are way more than five senses. Nociception, thermoception, proprioception and equilibrioception just to name a few [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senses].

EDIT: Actually, thinking about it, it's the sense of superiority I get from knowing big words like equilibrioception. Ha!

1. Sight
2. Hearing
3. Taste
4. Touch
5. Smell

I'd almost be happier without smell. Since most of the smells are bad smells...

Noted, thank you. If I ever recreate this thread (you never know I might) I may very well add those. Thanks again

Since taste is somewhat high, might I bring up that smell actually masks the taste of foods? that's why when you have a terrible cold, things taste different.

Everyone keeps saying sight but then again life without touch would just be horrible, anyone ever seen that episode of House with that girl without touch? Man that would suck.

If I had a 'favourite' then probably smell; I'm long sighted and have shit hearing so my sense of smell has improved a crap load to make up for it. It sucks when you're in the country and get a massive whiff of shit but it's awesome when on most days you can guess what's on the table when you're coming down the stairs

Well you figured right then.

*sigh* Okay, let's play your little game. In the rather pessimistic event of me losing all of my senses, except one of my choice (How does that work? Can I tell the accident to not take one sense, in such case, can I negotiate with the accident to just let me go with all my senses), then I would choose... uhm... sight?
