I liked the normandy in SR3 because it got that dark "warship" feeling back...excpet for the security doorskywolfblue said:[snip*
They didn't get it that right, I had to upgade it a hell of a lot so my team didn't get slaughered in the Suicide Mission. If they're going to give me the most up to date version of that ship to take on the latest threat to the galaxy, they could of found someone that could of at least of pretended to like aliens to get all the tech before I woke up.Tuesday Night Fever said:The Cerberus-built Normandy SR-2 is probably the only thing Cerberus ever actually got right.
And that fucking security scanner, every fucking time I went into or out of the communications room, having to wait for it to scan you, AGGGGHHHHHH!!!! You know who I am, I'm Commander Shepard, saviour of the universe, I may or may not be indoctrinated depending on who you believe but that scanner is not detecting that, so what exactly are you scanning for? Seriously, getting shot by that Reaper laser was less painful than waiting for that scanner.skywolfblue said:The alliance military did a lot of stupid rearrangements in ME3.
I mean, who thought that turning off all the overhead lights so you can't see the floor and where you're going would be a good idea?
"Commander, we've got an emergency in the bridge!"
"On my way!" *Trips over some wires lying around that couldn't be seen in the dark*
I would argue that they still did get it right. Even if you don't upgrade anything at all, it's still possible to complete your objective. Do you think Cerberus cares, like... at all... about whether or not any of your team makes it out alive? These are the supposedly "human first" guys that released vicious Thresher Maws on a human colony just to see what would happen.Catfood220 said:They didn't get it that right, I had to upgade it a hell of a lot so my team didn't get slaughered in the Suicide Mission. You mean aside from resurrecting Shepard?Tuesday Night Fever said:The Cerberus-built Normandy SR-2 is probably the only thing Cerberus ever actually got right.
Indeed, like the security portal between the CIC and war rooms that insists on scanning the captain of the bloody ship each time he/she passes through. I know its to cover up loading times, but it just seems so pointless. If say a cerberus or reaper assassin wanted to kill the VIPs in the room, wouldn't it make more sense to sabotage the much lower security drive core to explode or something. Seriously, engineering, probably the most vulnerable area of the ship, has no security.skywolfblue said:The alliance military did a lot of stupid rearrangements in ME3.
Yeah, and how well did that work out for them? Shepard ended up abandoning them, turning over their badass warship and its leather chairs to the Alliance, then proceeded to kick the shit out of pretty much everything they had. Hell, thanks to Shepard's influence, even the "Cerberus Cheerleader" herself, Miranda Lawson, ended up betraying Cerberus. Given time, who knows, maybe even Kai Leng would have been indoctrinated by Shepard's awesome.chimpzy said:You mean aside from resurrecting Shepard?Tuesday Night Fever said:The Cerberus-built Normandy SR-2 is probably the only thing Cerberus ever actually got right.
Yeah ok, I see your point. But seeing as Cerberus has thrown pretty much every resource at their disposal at acquiring and bringing Shepard back to life, you would of thought that they would want Shepard to have the best gear possible so that he/she would survive at least. I got the impression that The Illusive Man wanted to sway Shepard to the Cerberus way of thinking so he/she could be used as a weapon and a promotional tool in a "Hey everyone, Shepard says Cerberus is cool, join up now" kind of way. You would want to protect that kind of asset. Plus maybe they might want to protect their other operatives, Miranda who at the beginning of the game appears to be The Illusive Man's right hand woman. And Jacob who is...important in some way I'm sure.Tuesday Night Fever said:I would argue that they still did get it right. EVERYONE DIED
Seconded.DustyDrB said:The War Room was nice, though. And I liked actually being able to go in the hangar. The SR1 feels kind of lifeless after having been in the next two versions (with the idle chatter, actual "quarters" of sort for squad members, and dat cabin).
I was expecting BioWare to put minigames in that entertainment room. Alas, it seems BioWare doesn't care for minigames anymore.Mikejames said:Seconded.DustyDrB said:The War Room was nice, though. The Captain's cabin was a nice personal touch all throughout. Liked the areas they added for the third design, and the fact that people could move, but still find it odd how some of the older rooms were left empty the entire game. Plus, I never got to use my poker table.
Jacob... important. Heh.Catfood220 said:Yeah ok, I see your point. Pretty sure that the security is there to keep people from spying on war critical data. There's nowhere to sleep in that room, so presumably they are sleeping down in the crew quarters.chimpzy said:Indeed, like the security portal between the CIC and war rooms that insists on scanning the captain of the bloody ship each time he/she passes through.
