Unfair/unbalanced combat and the like would throw me off of Red Alert 3. If there was ever a situation that you couldn't get out of because of unbalances or the AI is just being ridiculously cheap, that would make me hate it. That's what I hate in a lot of games.
It's an RTS so the controls aren't really a problem. The only plausible way to screw up the controls in an RTS would be to map the mouse actions to the keyboard, but even then Red Alert 3 was kinda already semi-designed to be able to be played on a console (360 and PS3).
The story already sucks. Well, it's basically got a B-movie story, and it successfully pulls it off.
Look, Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favourite games of all time. If you're telling me a game is repetitive you're probably more likely to get me to play the game rather than making it unplayable for me.
Horrible graphics? See my above line.
Hackers and cheaters only affect online play, and usually in online play there's a way around it anyway. Though I could see how for games like Call of Duty it would be a nuisance since there's not a lot much there outside of multiplayer to be had.
