I personally like the one before metro the best. Although I am glad this metro one had a separate category for old xbox games and the cloud memory is pretty cool, it's too unfamiliar, feels slow and is filled with ads. I honestly forgot how the blades were like. NXE is very similar to the previous one so that one was pretty good and the change was amazing.

I honestly don't remember what it was before the one we had before this one.

No, wait, there was the one on the orginal xbox.

IDW.

Out of the 3 I can recall, I liked the one that was just replaced the most.

I wonder why there can't just be an option to chose wich dashboard to use

I don't dislike any of them, but I do think it gets a little better with each new version. So yeah, I think the worst was the first. But it still wasn't bad.

I really like Metro. Easiest to navigate, makes a lot of logical choices in placement.

The only gripe I have is that the PLAY GAME selection, while being the default position when the xbox starts up, I still think that it should be dead in the center on the largest square. Maybe a little section showing your percentage of achievements completed in that game.

Fully agree with you, they just keep improving.

I preferred the blades the most. It was just simple, no frills, and everything was easier to find, all with no pointless avatars.

I did really like the new features that the NXE brought in, like Netflix, but if that had just been added to the blade style I think it would honestly have been the best.

Honestly though, the PS3 UI is the best out of the 3 major consoles. Just very simple and elegantly designed.

I disagree with that. The settings are too fragmented. They could at least start with very broad categories and then go more advanced from there. That's my only gripe with it though. It is pretty.

I actually prefer it like that. I really hate it when I need to change a specific setting and I have to go 4 or 5 layers deep in a menu in order to do it because they start with really broad categories and narrow it down.

...Sorry, I'm distracted by the new (White. Very White) site layout that kicked in just when I clicked on my message inbox.

Anyway, I can see how someone who knows what all that stuff is can prefer that. But technological dummies like me have to fumble around, trying stuff out (and messing things up) until I get it how I want it. Or I can just Google different terms whenever I decide to change something.

I personally feel that metro has potential once I get accustomed to it but for now, The previous one is where I cast my vote.

I like Metro, but having the Play Game square be in the top right instead of the big box in the center feels kind of strange. Also, I don't like how it takes up so much of the screen and darkens your theme :/

Other than that, its gravy so far. Still getting used to it, but I'm sure its growing on me fine.
