Seeing as Hellsing's already been mentioned, I feel the vampires of Vampire Hunter D deserve a special mention at the very least. They bide their time hidden in the shadows until humanity destroys its own civilization with nuclear wafare, at which point they reveal themselves, claim world domination, produce an unheard-of level of technological innovations, and prey on the humans as they please. That is quite the roster of achievements.

I think that Raziel is above kain, and that Rahab is above them all. But thats a pretty cool list.
