I haven't read Tom Clancy's books, so I don't know what his outlooks are on communists, Russians, etc. But political philosophy is never about good or evil, it's about what every man wants in life, and what he's willing to sacrifice. I'm sure Tom Clancy wouldn't condemn someone as evil for outlooks on life.
