Having been born on this day I happen to enjoy it immensely.
Though I have to confess being tired of the pink ponies thing - there is probably a link to the escapist pony badge and the woman who received it first, but I've seen it so often since slashdot did the OMG PONIEZ thing a couple years ago that it is getting tired.
People today get to be an ass to people whenever they like now, so the whole concept of the one day a year you can enjoy yourself is kind of lost on the current round of humans.

I got pranked one year.. Had a 10th birthday sleepover round my friends house. And her mum in the morning was like "oh your mum will be round in 10 minutes it's nearly 10!" She got a big O.O face off me. It was only 8am and I'd just woken up behind a couch.
I was gonna tell everyone I had cancer today, couldn't keep a straight face though
I don't hate it but I thought a designated day to be funny/pull pranks was kind of odd. I mean I do that every day.
I kind of hate it...it is pretty much just a excuse to give people a reason to be dick heads...and the dick heads a reason to be even bigger dick heads and to just keep going on and on and on about the same joke they made, pretty stupid day i must say =/
I forogt all about it and im still in school. The only things thats i know happened were a few funny as text messeages being sent. One lad sent his girlfriends mum a text asking if he could take her out of school to the doctors to get some morning after pills.

Some jokes are not funny; I used to date a gal who?s birthday fell on this day. She said that when she was about 13 her parents pretended they forgot her birthday. It made her cry. They thought it was funny and did it five years later while she was away at college. It made her cry again; as they KNEW she was homesick. It's at this point I should mention her parents were assholes.
Some are funny though; Last year two friends of mine that have been dating for like 3 years at the time, posted on myspace, facebook or whatever that they had broken up. Everyone wanted to know what happened they said it was a tearful argument regarding Marriage. They later that day announced an engagement on the same website. The next day they let us in on the joke. This was their response to relatives and some friends constantly asking when they'd get married; which they don't believe in.
That I thought was very funny.
I don't love or hate it.
