overprice for it,s short SP
the only one I bought was COD 7 I saw trailers and the cold war setting looked interesting sadly it was MP focused with the SP as a small addon (won,t surprise me if COD MW4 is going to be MP only)

I am mostly into single player experiences so, given the direction the series has turn, I am mostly done with it since CoD3. I have played the newer ones, but only after they have turned cheaper...
doesnt MW2 still sell for $60?
Nop... 30$ new on Amazon and Steam, 40$ on Best Buy.
Its only a matter of not caring about playing them when they are hot, which is not a problem to me since I hardly play the multiplayer.

I'm not done with COD more the people who play it as the majority of people who I come across usually make the game not much fun to play ( I am fairly good before people start spouting " your just bad", also even away from the game itself they still manage to ruin something else. but if they put a lot more content into single player i may consider MW3

I've played every Call of Duty game that's ever come out. I play for the story now. I did back in CoD2 scrim my but off but thats the only CoD that has EVER won over my heart with it's multiplayer.

The only reason I still have COD:BO is because it's good for parties. We will do wager matches and who ever gets a lower score has to switch out.

Fun, and it makes every one mad. ^-^

I've been done with Call of Duty since World at War. Simply put I haven't thought that the game has been worth the money they're charging for it so I haven't bothered with it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd still like to play the latest two installments and even the upcoming one but it's too little content for too much. Funny thing is I'd still buy it if, after time, it went down to a reasonable price. But it hasn't. Modern Warfare 2 is still over $100NZD in shops here, it's $90USD on Steam which is about the same. There's no way a two year old game is worth that, particularly one that wasn't worth it's release price in the first place.

I haven't felt like I've been missing out on much, still don't. I see Call of Duty as the big dumb summer blockbuster. It's the epitome of mediocrity, it's dumb fun. So yeah, I would like to play it. But for over $100? For a very short single player campaign and multiplayer game that I've already played? No thank you.

Edit: For Christ's sake Modern Warfare 3 is $30 cheaper than Modern Warfare 2 on Steam. What the shit?

I used to absolutely love it...I've bought all of them except 3, WaW, and Big Red One. And after all this time...I don't think I'm going to pay a for sports franchise style shooter. Heck, I bet if I went back and played the first two...they'll have aged great...well, for me anyway. But now...they're just milking it. They don't care about innovation. They know it'll turn a profit so they're still making games. The series I loved is dead. At least Bungie was always trying something a little different with each game and Battlefield has been evolving and trying new things. (2142, though old, was phenomenal imo.) But this is just getting stale. Unless they turn it into Future Warfare...I'm done for now.

Plus...TF2 is free to play. I'm not paying $60 for a game when I could have way more fun for free.

I'd say it depends on what comes of MW3. To be honest, I didn't like the campaign of Blops all that much, it never really felt like it involved the player. Hmm...how to quantify that...well, you can get through the whole first proper mission without firing a single shot. Never tried myself, but watched a youtube video of it. The interrogation scenes were simply irritating to the point of teeth gnashing.

It's a shame really, because I really, really enjoyed COD4, and I know they were on to a good thing there, it's just a pity they couldn't seem to replicate it effectively. But by god that game was awesome when I first experienced it. It was like breaking me into this world of FPS war games all over again. But now, I feel like I'm simply done with them.

Always go back to Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 though, can't get enough of that semi-real tactical shooting stuff, hope something else like that comes out soon.

I am fucking tired of the same bland FPS shooter. That's why I play Team Fortress 2, it has a cartoony art style with funny humor, brilliant classes, and a fun game play mechanism. Call of Duty has NONE of that!
You know why? Because Call of Duty is not Team Fortress 2.

Comparing them is pointless.

OT: I have put 4+ days on each CoD game since Modern Warfare 1.

People keep trying to convince me that it's a bad game. Hasn't worked yet. Why should I not buy a game a clearly enjoy?
