Same here. Even when I read Extra Punctuation, I read it in Yahtzee's voice. It would sound right otherwise.
WHy do it Australian if its his accent? he is ENGLISH

Well, I'm confident about buying the book, just because it has something with Yahtzee to do, the man is a genius! :D

I probably won't. Reading is for poor people. I'll get my black slave to buy it for me and then read it.

I jest. It all depends. If it gets good or above average reviews I'll buy it. If the times or the mail rags it out I'll definately buy it.

If the humour is anything like his last two novels (Fog Juice, Articulate Jim; they're on his website if anyone wants to read them), I will be more than just wanting it.

Yahtzee makes funny videos.

That does not necessarily mean he can write a funny book.

I have read enough novel adaptations of films, and seen enough film adaptations of novels to permanently remove the idea that just because someone can work in one medium, he can work in all of them.

I'm willing to give Yahtzee's book a shot, definitely. But I'll read a chapter or two in Borders before buying it.

It's just too early to declare if you will buy it or not.

Needless to say that I wish him all the best. He can't do Zero Punctuation forever after all.

From his novellas he's excellent at punctuation, he's actually quite the pedant.
I will buy it instantly, if it is close to fog juice's sheer brilliance then he will sure as shit have my money.

Yahtzee is English. He has an English accent. And don't say you couldn't know that, because it says under every video. So read it in an English accent.
And no, not BRITISH accent, because that could be everything from Yahtzee to Soap MacTavish.
Being an ignorant American, these things sometimes skip my mind...

Yeah, I will.
I'll have to probably import it, which sucks ass.
It sounds interesting, I've never heard of a book, in which the main character is truely fictional.

Just because he's good at one type of media doesn't mean he'll be good at another. Hell, the man says that all the time about people who make movies that go to games.

Yes and no. English entails brummy, manchunian, stokey...even "English" as an accent isn't accurate.

I'll definitely buy it if it is on sale in the UK.
