Poll: Who got you started on gaming

My father was the one who got me hooked on gaming. First started when I was watching him
play metal gear solid.. After that, bought an N64 and have been addicted ever since. My dad was the first one to get me interested in working with computers too and now I'm majoring computers in college .

My cousin gave me his Odyssey2 when I was like four. I haven't looked back since. Not sure where he got it from considering it's older then he is, but it's where I started. Soon after I was on NES, Sega Genesis, SNES and it kept going from there.

Started long ago in an arcade, in Disney World. I began to play and didn't stop for hours. From there, I was truly born.

My brother who was a big gamer when he was younger and I was about 4 or 3 and is now the kind that plays fps games or takes my 360 and changes my fucking xbox live name using my fucking money the dick.

My Dad got an old Atari ST cheap off a work colleague when I was about 8, I suppose that is what introduced me to spending my summers indoors intially, but i really got into gaming when I met a friend who owned a playstation, the first tekken was like heroin to me, i literally could not get enough

For me it was my uncle, I went to his house (reluctantly) one christmas and he was playing EQ2, so I bought it and that's how I started gaming and how my social life went to hell. Then a couple months later I realsied it was just a game and started to go out again and now everythings fine. Still game quite a bit too.

But if it wasnt for all of that I wouldn't have met some of my best friends which I've been in contact with for like 4 years still. It's all incredibly coincidental

Didn't vote because I don't know. I have been a PC gamer since before I can remember. It might be my father, it might be my brother, I have no clue. But I have been a gamer as far back as I can recall, we had lots of games. Maybe I became a gamer because my dad had all those games, or maybe he got them because I was a gamer.

Hmmm, I repeated myself a bit there. I'll blame it on the fact that I should have gone to bed hours ago. Good night.

My Dad he got me playing games like Gauntlet, Montezuma's Revenge and Defender of the Crown on our old PC. My Dad was a total Ultima junkie he played it like it was a religion I remember spending hours sitting with him watching him pray at shrines and translate the runes. It left some good memories for sure.
