Neither sex. Rich people get off easier.

Wait... unless by get off, you really mean get off... in which case, it's men. Easier and less satisfying... which, as a man, makes me a little jealous of all that shuddering satisfaction.

Both have it equally suck. We are both expected to conform to unrealistic societal "norms" and we both have things that we can't get because of our gender.

Ah yes, another one of the Escapist's famous black and white polls. Where's the "everyone has it different" option?

I'm gonna have to throw my vote into the "neither" pool. We both have things equally shitty, just for different reasons.

Women have it better in some countries when it comes to custody of children, men have it better biologically in that we don't suffer from half the crap women go through.

Men don't have to go through childbirth or have periods. We have it easier that way.

Trade off? We're expected to go marching off to war and don't look as nice.

I'd like to hear your opinions on which gender gets off easier.
Men have it way easier. There's a whole raft of things that women really do have to worry about that men don't even have to think twice about, and that if you even suggest to men that they should think about those things, most of them go "what, get real". I'm so glad I'm not a woman.

Women's gender constraints are a bit lighter (i.e. women gaming, playing sports, and doing generally male things are seen as ridiculously more "normal" than a man figure skating, or going into fashion, or that sort of thing), though I do think that women have it harder off socially (from my view, grudges and passive aggression are a lot more present in a woman's society than it is in a man's, where arguments are forgotten quickly, or confrontations are made). That, and the fact that their mean incomes are lower than a man's simply by virtue of discrimination in employment, and that they are generally expected to do more busywork and house maintenance than the average man, puts them in a worse off place.

But the issue is moot; gender is something that people just have to deal with. Doesn't really make sense to argue about which side "has it better".

Men, duh? Yeah we have our trials and tribulations, but I wouldn't want to be a female ever, I don't want to have periods, moodswings, being looked at sexually all the time, being told I should watch my place and that I'm a *****, being labeled a slag if I sleep with lots of people, giving birth, compete with other females IN EVERYTHING ALL THE FRIGGING TIME. Those are all just the unfair realities.

Unless you are beautiful, life is pretty tough for a female.

I'm bloody glad I'm male, yeah I have worries, but its nothing compared to my female friends, family and GF, all I need to do is play my games, socialise, work and stand by my GF (and family of course), apart from racism (which I've never personally experienced) I don't really have anything to fret about. I'd say life is pretty easy going for me :/

Actually, I like this answer. All of this. I'm just going to take it.

Depends on what country you are living in I guess. I dont think anyone would argue women have it easy in the middle east

The poll is missing the "I don't know" option because I would vote for that option.

Edit: Actually it isn't really fair to stereotype men and women. Some people like a little difficulty/ challenge in their life while others would feel their life is too difficult if they have any problems at all.

In short, it's about your attitude towards life.
