Both genders have their own independent issues. That's like me saying "Who has it worse: the Glo'bak-ni, (an alien civilisation which look disturbingly like humans do, complete with an earth like planet filled with earth like plants and earth like animals) or Humanity?"
Because we know nothing of what it's like to be a Glo'bak-ni, we'd probably say something like "well, shit, they've got it pretty damned good, with their four arms and three fingers, eyes on the back of their heads, which is followed by some other bull which you can insert at your lesure right about here.
Alternatively, there will be a group of people who will say the exact opposite, about how great it is to be human and how horrible it is to be a Glo'bak-ni.
Now the Glo'bak-ni know they have it pretty damned bad, or they think they do, and that's why they love humans so much, what with our two eyes, two arms and two legs, we're pretty much the spitting image of perfection! Semetrical and simple, we don't have to worry about waking up to find this strange purple gunk in just about every oriface, even though it's natural for them. But you know what? They've got these neat little machines which suck that gunk out, and seeing things in 360 degrees around you isn't that bad, means someone can't sneak up on you, and who cares about how many arms you've got, you can't drink a Shnak without at least three, and every Glo'bak-ni knows Shnaks make everything better, they're like a halucigen and pain reliever and something amazing all in one (which you need after trying to drink one with less than three hands).

For anyone who didn't bother to follow that above paragraph (and I don't blame you, really), we both have issues, that's why women have support groups and men have alcohol.
Or religion, or drugs, or something.
Seriously, no matter how much life sucks for one group, they'll make something to help pick themselves back up, or drive them further down, there's no difference in some cases.

Vote: Where the hell is neither? Don't make my avatar summon a mighty blizzard! (Oh wait....)

Anyone who says being a woman is easier should try turning into a bloated, emotionally unstable gargoyle which bleeds profusely from its lady-parts once a month.

Seriously, though, it's a mans world. Though, women may have it easier when it comes to certain areas, I'll grant you that.

Technically speaking, both genders are roughly equal.
If one wants to split hairs, you can do it like this:

1)Women get the benefit of the doubt in court cases nine times out of ten.

2)Men are generally seen as pigs by a rising number of the female population.

3)Men and women are held to roughly equal standards physically speaking, Females just milk it more than men, because men hate having to admit they don't have a 'washboard stomach' and act like they do, even if they don't.

4)Males are supposed to be 'Tough, Macho, Manly-Men', yet are seen as pigs if they act that way.

5)Women are supposed to be trim, scantily-clad, seductresses, yet are viewed as sluts or whores if they act as such.

The middle ground here, is that men and women were not created equally, and yet we are both trying to force it to be so. Equal rights I can understand, but we are not copy-pasted from the same '.life file', and then re-skinned to look differently. Women are naturally better than men in many areas, and men are naturally better than women in others. There are exceptions, of course, but this is the norm.

Many women these days think that if a man says 'it's a mans job to protect women', that he thinks women are weaker than men. This is not true. It's written into a mans DNA to keep women safe.

Men think that if a woman turns them down for a date too many times, that she's a frigid *****. This is also untrue. The woman is just looking for her version of the 'best man to be with', as her DNA it telling her to do.

Short form: Men have it easier in many aspects of life, Women have it easier in many others. We're both roughly equal in terms of 'getting off easier' because both genders get off easier in different areas of life.
