I will only get Portal 2 if they put out a demo for it, and I like the changes.
They put out a demo years ago, it was called Portal.
This game will be fucking amazing, I doubt anyone could argue that. The question, then, becomes which will be better, single player or co-op?
What the fuck?
I bought Just Cause 1 and it was horrible. I bought Just Cause 2 and it was incredible.
I bought Modern Warfare and it was great. I bought Modern Warfare 2 and it was shitty.
If you're making a sequel, it's because you have new ideas. Likewise, those new ideas need to be put to the test in actual gameplay, not trailers. Conversely, if you're saying Portal 2 only uses Portal 1's ideas, I'm suddenly not interested whatsoever.
"This game will be fucking amazing"? No one could argue against it for Portal 2, but then only people who have played it can argue FOR it. It's something I used to think about all of Valve's games. Then Left 4 Dead 1 came out, and I couldn't stand it, and honestly regretted wasting $50; and believe me, I gave it its chance. Every game company can make mistakes, and Valve is no exception.
I don't "hate" them, or "boycott" them, but they need to be put to the test before I assume their new game is awesome.
