Most likely it'll have the same kind of battery power as the original PSP.

I am on the fence - I'll probably get one eventually when it is cheap enough, but so far I'm just waiting for more and better games that will be released when the console launches. That new Uncharted game looks good, but it's only ONE game. I've made the mistake of buying a system for one game before, and I'm not going to do that again.

Of the other launch titles, the only one that remotely interests me is WipeOut 2048, but as much as I like WipeOut, I realize that I'm TERRIBLE at WipeOut, and I usually get just as much Frustration out of playing it, as I do enjoyment. Killzone on the PSP wasn't very good, so I'm not sure about the new Killzone game either. The rest are sports games, and I don't like sports games or Ridgeracer. As for a new Call of Duty game.... I've already exhausted my interest in that series on the PC. I have no desire to play it on a handheld.

Don't get me wrong: The PSVita looks to be an amazing piece of technology. But so was the PSP when it was first released. As amazed as I am at the many functions of the PSP - I already have an iPod and a phone that can do everything the PS Vita can (except play the games of course).

You know what would REALLY spark my interest and ensure that I buy the PSVita on day one? If it could play downloadable PS2 games. I would shell out an arm and a leg for a PSVita if I had access to all the PS2 games on the PSN.

I'm sorry - but I just don't have the money for one. I've got Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, Deux Ex Human Revolution, Gears of War 3, maybe Resistance 3 (god there's a lot of threes this year ain't there?), Batman Arkham City and possibly Dark Souls to buy. In Australian dollars, assuming I buy them all on day one for as cheap as I can... that's.... about $600~650 right there. I just can't afford a PS Vita. Or a 3DS for that matter.

Let me end this by saying: I don't hate the Vita. It looks amazing. I'm looking forward to the neat indie and experimental games that Sony puts out for it, as they did with the PSP. And I will get one.... ONE day. But as it stands, I don't see a compelling reason to buy it right away. Why get Uncharted "Lite" for the Vita, when you can buy Uncharted 3 which will be better in every way? It just doesn't quite have the software line up it needs.

I'm still largely on the fence, leaning towards I'll porobably get one eventually, but I'm not sure if or how soon.

There's that Disgaea 3 port/remake too.

So.. yes. I'm not sure when I'll be buying it, but I plan to. Will have to see how much spare time and money is lying around when it launches.

[sub]Of course, I'm mostly just excited to see what Atlus puts on the console.[/sub]

My DS lite has metroid fusion/zero mission, all the Advance Wars and all of the pokemon games. Why the hell would I ever want anything else?

(So that's a never really gave a fuss to start with)

At first I was consiering waiting a bit, but when I saw the launch line-up I was pretty much sold. For a while I was considering getting a 3DS and to just disregard a new Sony handheld, but ever since the release of the 3DS (aka project high expectations), and seeingas how my DS gathers dust while my PSP is used almost daily, my money's on the Vita.

I only ever had 3 games for my PSP (Dissidia, MGS:pW, MH:Freedom U). They each would've been much better had there been a second analog stick. In short, I'm going to get a Vita just because there is a second analog stick.

Yes, I've dabbled in consumer whoring.

Lack of the second analogue stick is what kept me from getting a PSP. I'm not totally comitted to buying one, but I'm not still on the fence... I'm somewhere in between. Somehow...

The launch or at least initial line up looks really good, the game play looks good, and I'm curious to see if Sony decides to do a cross platform play thing like the Wii U is doing. Though I don't know if the PSV has the dual camera thing.

I'm probably going to wait to see what else it can do. In an age where my iPod not only plays games, but also is a mp3 player, personal planner, lets me check my e-mail, check the news, watch youtube as well as netflix, and just about five million other things, I honestly have a hard time purchasing a portable device JUST for playing games. Why bother with a PSV when I get the same functionality from my iPod plus tons of other things?

I love handhelds, don't get me wrong. I still have my GBC, GBP, GBA, and GBASP, as well as having a DS and PSP, but I really just don't see the purpose in carrying around a piece of plastic that JUST plays games nowadays. It seems so quint in a day phone games aren't terrible jokes anymore.
