Larry the Cable Guy, fart jokes and incest jokes are only funny if you're between the ages of 8 and 12. That shit only continues to be funny after that if you're they typical redneck hickerbilly trailer-trash that gets "Git-er-done" stamped, tattooed, or painted on everything they own.

Saw this one guy doing a stand up on Comedy Central once and it was the worst thing I have ever seen. It was basically 90% sex jokes, with all emphasis on "sex" and none on "joke". Sadly I can't remember his name.

Favorite one has got to be Jon Stewart.

Whoever the guy with the incredibly racist terrorist puppet is.
Jeff Dunham. I was just gonna ask where he was in the list. I used to actually like that guy, he can be really funny as Walter. Now that he's got Akmed (and that TERRIBLE fucking show) he's riding the gimmick train (he's the one ventriloquist who wasn't riding it already)

OT, I voted for Glenn Beck because the rest are all bad at their jobs, but Glenn isn't supposed to be funny, tries very hard to be, and instead scares the shit out of everyone. My favorite comedian is Patton Oswalt, a genuinely creative storyteller with one of the darkest senses of humor and he doesn't strain himself trying to be edgy.

I like quite a few of the British comedians on this thread exept Andy Parsons, Joe Brand is also on my most hated list. Russle Howard, Dara o Brian and there is another Irish comedian who I can't remember, Rob something I think, are my favourites.

Amen, brother. I have no idea why he continues to be on every series of "Mock the week". Not only is he not funny, he also talks very slowly too...so the punishment is dragged out.

I actually have no idea who most of the people on this list are...
Exactly. The rest of the comedians on the panel have more comedic talent in their hair little toe than that reject does.

Most of those comedians are American-based ones, not many are popular over here due to humour differences. American humour is often crass or one-liners, whereas ours are satires and observational/black humour.

Yeah, Joe Brand would be up there on mine as well. Andy Parsons is my second most hated, and Alan Carr tops the board. He's just fucking annoying. Never found Peter Kay or that fat bearded guy (I don't recall his name) funny either. The one who appears in the PG adverts with the monkey.

Stewart Lee. Saw the advert for his new show on 'Dave", and thought it was shit. A friend then came into school and confirmed it.
You're basing your entire opinion on [one of the most funniest and most intelligent] comedians around on one advert and someone elses opinion? I mean fair enough coming to that conclusion after watching the show, it isn't exactly his best work, but one advert, really?

Anyway OT: Glenn Beck, I haven't seen any of his acctual stand up but he's an awful, awful man, on parr with the likes of Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning. Outside of racist comedians who I hate by default Michael "I laugh at my own jokes all the fucking time" Macintyre annoys me no end. Lee Evans and Dane Cook as well, sure incorporate movement in your comedy, be energetic, but don't make your whole act just jumping around and shouting.

Anyway this post is far too ranty and angry, so I'll post my 7 favourite stand ups ever: Eddie Izzard, Ross Noble, Bill Bailey, Bill Hicks, Stewart Lee, Russel Howard, Ed Byrne.

It saddens me to see that Dane Cook is so hated. Personally, I love that guy - I think he's hilarious. Why can't this poll be about Good comedians, not bad comedians. I don't beleive there are any truly "bad" comedians out there really. It's all about your sense of humor.

Based on several adverts, and the opinion of a friend who is very much open to comedy.

My fav's: David Cross, H.Jon Benjamin, Jon Stewart+Stephen Colbert+pretty much anyone from the Daily Show, Seth McFarland, Brendan Smalls, Seth Rogen, Dmitri Martin, Will Farrell, Mike Meyers (until a few years ago), Bill Hader, George Carlin
I agree to most of these, though Jon Stewart at least tries, usually his jokes are good when he's mocking something (which if you note, is not all the time). Larry the Cable guy is not funny for me, save for only one skit, which was the letter from the child in Africa bit. Ron White is funny if you hear him once, otherwise he's often repeating himself.

Dunham...was good, though I will admit that the show they gave him now will probably kill his career. Never go to a show that has hair that's meant to make you look young, it makes you fricking wierd looking. Carlos was funny for about a year before he kind off died off and...well....don't hate me, but Will Ferril makes me want rip off my ears and eat them just so I don't have to listen to him anymore.
