In terms of character development and story and whatnot, I think I like Legion the most (with Mordin and Garrus tied for a close second). I like how the geth were characterized in the first game, and knowing that there is another faction of them out there who aren't trying to kill me is pretty nice.

In terms of gameplay, however, no one even comes close to Kasumi. When playing through on the insane difficulty, she's by far the most useful character, being able to effectively combat enemies with armor, shields, and barriers. Her Shadow Strike and Overload abilities were always on cooldown with me, and she made long fights much easier.

Garrus: Super bro tier. Only reason Wrex isn't taking his place is because he's busy being more awesome off your boat. I mean ship.

Tali: Only well designed female character in the game that isn't the cookie cutter, "Puts up a strong face but deep down you know there's cream filling in that doughnut" personality that literally every other female character that gets more than 10 minutes of screen time has.

Grunt: Wrex 2.0. Not the "I don't give a fuck" awesome that Wrex has but he's still pretty damn awesome. Plus I wouldn't get to headbutt Krogans without him being in the game.

Mordin: Kind of creepy in a humorous kind of way.

Samara: Asari + bad ass. And she wants you to help her kill her daughter who's trying to be a kinky bad ass as well.

That's my top five at any rate.

Pretty tough chice for me. I chose Mordin because of his fast talk and jokes but it could've been Tali, Garrus, Grunt, Miranda, Thane, Samara, Legion or anyone except Jack or Zaeed.
I chose Mordin because he was just really awesome, also I think his loyalty mission is the most morally ambiguous, which was a plus for me.

Wrex. All the way. As far as characters overall (Not their gameplay or anything like that) Thane.

First game, my duo was Wrex/Garrus.
Second game, I ran with Miranda/Zaeed/Moridin/Grunt/Legion depending on how far into the game I was and my character's class at that time.

When i was playing Mass Effect 2; I loved picking up team members with cool missions, or just cool presence.

So to everyone that has played ME2 enough to get all of the team members (i hope thats all of you) who did you like best?

Legion was my favorite.
My favourites are Thane (calm and controlled), Legion(genius and analitical), Tali(techie and fun conversations), Grunt (living battering ram) and Kasumi(comedic and cool).

My favourite deployment was Thane and Kasumi, as one did stupid amounts of sniper rifle damage and covered for armored/barrier guarded enemies, and the other could 1 hit K.O. dudes in rapid succession and stun enemy groups for seconds at a time. Combined with my Infiltrator class, it felt like the ultimate precision strike team.

Miranda's Bugs Bunny teeth scare me X.x
Well, she is Brunette and we get to see her bra. That immediately puts her in 3rd. She had no other qualities to boost her above Than or Tali/Garrus(but nobody can rise above the latter).

Meh <.< If that excites you ... it's just Bioware severely scared me with Jacob's and Miranda's front teeth. Which is funny because they are *human* characters, whereas the aliens don't look so weird ... ironically.

1. Garrus
2. Legion
3. Tali
4. Jack, Kasumi, Mordin, Thane, Joker
5. Grunt, Zaeed, Gabby & that Scottish guy, Rupert the chef/janitor

Disposable, but I don't dislike them: Kelly, Jacob, Samara
Highly disposable: Miranda. Something about her just rubs me the wrong way. (Now that I think about it, I tend to like the starter human partners the least. I wonder why.)

Haven't had the chance to play with and talk to Morinth yet.

Thane. Totally badass when he goes into his trances and does his memory recall bit. Not to mention in the bit of his side quest where he starts praying and disappears.

since there are only 8 question responses, i couldn't fit them all
I added the "other" option for a reason.
But you missed some of the most popular ones, like Thane and Tali.

I chose Garrus, who is swiftly followed by Thane and Tali.

Tali.

Then Legion. I use both of them on every mission i do because they are intriguing characters. Most of the others have the wolverine issue of whiney bitches in badass bodies.

Does Joker count? If not, Garrus.

Legion follows a close second for the fact the guy is a walking model of an interesting character and I love learning about the Geth.

Of the new Team Members, I stick with Legion. It is, by far, the most interesting character of them all, and for a machine it has a ton of personality. It also is a big videogame fan, according to his profile in the Shadow Broker computer. The fact that he is voiced by Albert Wesker helps too.

But overall my favourite ones are Tali and Garrus. You can say I am stuck in the first game, but they are just so good and well constructed, and I can't help but love them.

Mordin. No questions, none at all.

Shamus Young explains, in impossible detail, all the same reasons I did for loving this guy. Part 1 [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=9006], Part 2 [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=9018], Part Three [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=9023], and Part 4 [http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?p=9043].

Just... all of that. That's why.
