Poll: Who played the best Bat?

While waiting for Batman: Arkham Asylum, and after seeing Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker for the umpteenth time, this question came up. Who do the Escapists think played the best Batman? Feel free to answer the poll. With your response, please state your reasoning for your pick of the best Batman.

My pick is, has been, and always will be Kevin Conroy from the first animated series of Batman. I grew up watching the show, and have enjoyed anything he has done as Batman, including Batman: Gotham Knight.

EDIT: I counted Will Friedle because while he did not play Bruce Wayne, he did play Batman, and the poll specifies Batman.

Kevin Conroy is cool.. but i give it to Michael Keaton. (He has a face too *g*) And like the Nostalgia Critic says: The best man does not play Batman, he plays Bruce Wayne. Bale is third i would say. His funny voice is a bit strange as Batman (And the performance in the second movie wasn't that good)

I would have to say Christian Bale, then Kevin Conroy, and then Diedrich Bader.

Christian bale because he is the best on screen Batman I've ever seen (IMO)
Kevin Conroy because he was awesome in Batman the Animated Series, and in Gotham Knight. However, he seems out of place in Arkham Asylum, but Ive only played the demo and seen some videos, so my opinion could change.
Diedrich Bader because I find Batman: Brave and the Bold to be a really good show.

Kevin Conroy has the best voice for Batman/Bruce Wayne. The casting guys at Eidos Interactive made a good decision going with him as the bat (and a good decision going with Mark Hamill as the Joker might I add).
As far as the best on screen actor, I'd say Adam West because of the skill needed to pull off the Battoosie [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kR5eiFNNy0&feature=related].

You've missed out Clark Bartram, who played Batman in Batman: Dead End [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374526/].

It may only be a short, fan made film, butit's worth a mention (and worth seeing if you're a fan).

Bartram manages to combine the kung-fooery of Christian Bale's Batman (with a better Batman voice) with the pudgy ridiculousness of Derek Trotter doing Adam West's Batman, and battle the Joker, an Alien and a Predator in under 10 minutes

Who plays Batman in the Justice League Unlimited? He's pretty good. I never saw Kilmer, and clooney was mediocre.

I like Bale and Keaton the best.
