To me, that would be House Stark since what I've seen from season 1 and 2 so far, they have been portray as a care ruler (it was mention that Ned view his citizen as his children and that the citizen did loved the two boy who kind of rule the place during the older brother absence).
Yes I kind of know what going to happen next (sort of) before you spoil or hint me at what will happen.
Daenerys takes the south, ruling with Tyrion as her hand, while Jon Snow, reborn via Melisandre (and apparently maybe also a Targaryen? According to fan theories, anyway) and free of the Night's Watch after "the day he dies", taking the North.
Anyone else think GRRM's spoiling to draw comparisons to the Nazis? I mean, here we have the targaryans, who are apparently better than everyone else, at least to the extent that they have magic fireproof skin (along with very blonde hair), being the Mary Sue group in a story where everyone else is "one step forward, two steps back". And they seem destined to win out in the end, 'cause Divine Right or something.
I don't think so. It's been said many times that the Targaryen's habit of incest has made them very prone to craziness such as with the last Targaryen king and to a lesser extent Viserys.
From what I've read, I think Stannis or Dany would make the best rulers. Both seem to have a decent sense of right and wrong and justice (relative to the rest at least!)
They also have the power to back their rule up. Dany has dragons, and Stannis has the fire god - the only god who actually seems to be able to manifest in the world and have an effect.
Overall I'd say Stannis as he is probably a better politician - Dany seems a bit naive - understandable given her age.
Can't think of anyone who would actually do a good job. They're all horrible in their own way. I would root for the white walkers killing everyone and building giant snow men all over Westeros, because they can. Might be the best solution for everyone involved.
For what will actually happen: Daenerys. Or GRRM kicks the bucket before finishing the lot...
I've only watched the TV show, but my vote goes to house Targaryen. It'd be good for Westeros to have a ruler who could be both loved and feared for a change. Failing that, I think Stannis would make a pretty good ruler. Also, it's heartening to see that no-one yet has voted for house Greyjoy...man, Balon Greyjoy is a dick.
Not only is he both Targaryen and Stark; he is the only one fighting the white walkers; he is Robb's legitimized heir by way of Lady Mormont(who wasn't captured and is probably with the Reeds); the Boltons and Freys are about to have their asses kicked because the Manderlys, the Umbers, and they no longer have "Arya"; Stannis is going to die at Winterfell because it is quite obvious he is dying from the way the book describes him near the end of DwD; Dany is still ruled by her emotions and can't even act on her own threats; Cersei is about to fuck up the Lannisters again and Jaime or Tyrion is probably going to kill her; Young Griff isn't actually a Targaryen as was said by Quaithe; and on top of this a near Omnipresent bird told Jon he would be king in the first book(Mormont's crow says king upon seeing him).
My money is on a triumvirate of Daenarys, John Snow and Aegon Targaryen (the one fostered by Jon Connington). John Snow is speculation on my part. I think he is actually not Eddard Stark's bastard but the child of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark conceived and born when Rhaegar abducted her (the whole reason for the Baratheon Rebellion). In my opinion this makes more sense than Eddard who oozes nobility and honour out of every pore sleeping around. After considering what happened with other Targaryen children who could have layed a claim to the throne he lied to protect the only child of his beloved sister. Besides in Daenarys' vision Rhaegar said to his son Aegon that he was the prince who was promised and his was the song of ice and fire. And Maester Aemon said that the dragon needs to have three heads.
