I do.

Put simply, I appreciate being able to check the time simply by glancing at something that's constantly attached to me and readily available, rather than having to search for my phone, open it, check the time and then go through the process of putting it back. Being female, my pockets are often too small to hold a phone anyway, and wearing the time on my wrist is significantly more efficient and convenient than rummaging through a bag would be. Also, I go to the gym and take exams, and in those situations a phone is hardly practical.

There's also the fact that it's become a habit, so that I feel naked without my watch. I also have quite a smart, good-looking one that I'm proud of.

I love having a wristwatch for school, especially when taking tests. I also think it looks rather sharp. However, if I want to look fancy, I will don my pocket watch and monocle (I am not joking) and really class it up! But the pocket watch is always just for show, and never ever practical. On the other hand, my wristwatch is one of the most low-tech practical piece of equipment I own besides rope.
But I do not see many people in my school/area wear wristwatches.

I'm so used to wearing a watch I feel off if I don't have it on.
Also, since I work as a Veterinary Technician its a particularly handy thing to take pulses with.
My favorite one was one I had in high school, a tv remote control digital watch. Ahhh...love those days when the class was watching a movie. The volume goes up slowly, teach gets up and adjusts the volume, then the volume goes down, teacher gets up and adjusts the volume, and repeat. Yup juvenile and I'm amazed I never got caught doing that since I thought it was hilarious and was stifling chuckling the entire time.

I wear one when I think of it; it's nice to be able to check the time in lecture without having to struggle your phone out of your pocket. Plus it allows me to keep track of time while taking exams.

I'd be lying if I didn't like the aesthetics of it as well. I have a nice silver analog watch with a pretty loud tick; I like to listen to it. It's calming.

I wear my watch mostly because I think it looks sharp and I don't own a cell phone currently so it's the only way I can get the time.

Really should get a cell phone. :l

I never leave home without my wrist watch. People do frequently ask me about the time and outside of that it seems to be classier to merely cast one's gaze upon a watch than to take out their cellular phone (or other device) and check. Even if it is not truely classier it is far more acceptable to look at your watch than it is to look a phone in a school or work setting.

I would...

If I didn't have to take it off every morning for swimming.
Also, I'd break it unless it was made of something seriously heavy-duty.
Maybe a Casio G-Shock would work? They're pretty solid, to the point that it kinda feels like I'd kill someone if I hit them with it.

A cell phone is a waste of money for me right now, its not like I have anyone I need to talk to while I'm outside my house.

I think it's pretty weird how people constantly text while on the bus or whatnot. Is it really so important to be in constant contact with the same handful of people? I can't imagine that what they have to say is so important that it can't wait until later, but maybe I'm just 'behind the times'.

I'd wear one if I could find it. It's either been taken by my dad for use when he's at work or it's been eaten by the ever growing pile of junk in my room.

I wear a wristwatch. And it's just a watch, nothing extra. No stop watch, or alarm. Just a simple watch.

Doesn't EVERYONE wear wrist watches?
Well, a lot of people do where I live as well.

These days, it seems to be to accessorize rather than to keep track of time though, given how so many Smartphones keeps an internet-updated digital clock.

Personally, I wouldn't know what bling was if you drowned me in gold bracelets and charms though.

I have been called overly practical before.

I can't wear one unless someone comes up with one that's comfortable to wear but made totally from non-reflective, non-metallic materials (on the outside, anyway.

Maybe they already have? If anyone knows of one, let me know...

I wear a watch that hangs off a carabiner. It also holds my office keys! Personally, I obsess over time, and I always need to have some kind of timekeeping device handy AND within easy reach, and I much prefer watches to having to dig my cell phone out of my pocket every five minutes or risk leaving it behind on a table or something if I have to leave in a hurry.

Anyway, people who wear watches nowadays probably do it more as a fashion statement than as a utility device. After all, how else could you explain the Diesel "SUPER BAD ASS SONAR" watch?

Yes, that is it's name, and it is ridiculous.

Who needs a wristwatch when you have a rad pocket watch.

.. this is rhetoric. Everyone digs my pocket watch.
