I was looking forward to Battlefield 3, and I personally thought it would be awesome to buy on Steam, because Steam is great, and there's not many negatives to steam (i do admit the library of user's games could be sorted a little better.)

and the reason being was it was going to be something different from Call of Duty. no i'm not a fanboy on a tangent, i'm just wondering Why the hell would EA not allow BF3 to be distributed on the leading online distribution store, and claim of hopes of beating Call of Duty?

and before people pipe up about it yes i'm aware of the ongoing issues between EA and Valve over the removal of Crysis 2, but the reason why that's even happening continues to baffle me considering their business relationship. (publishing retail of L4D1 & L4D2, The orange Box)

That's why personally i think Activision will definitely will win this years FPS shooter sales.
still won't stop me buying BF3. that's why i play Xbox 360.

but maybe i'm firing at EA a little too early. thoughts?

Edit: Oh if you're confused why i said summer it's due to the fact that I live in Australia, which when these games come out is when we have our summer. Sorry North America

While I will be buying, playing, and enjoying both, MW3 will beat out BF3 because of the market share that the CoD franchise currently holds. The games will both be great and dynamic, so I am really looking forward to both.

Both of these games don't come out until autumn-winter but I think MW3 will probably win due to the massive monopoly the CoD franchise has on the FPS market.
