"Dues Ex"... Alimony: The Game?

Anyway: First choice is Skyrim character - just too many tools at his disposal, even against masters of high-tech armaments like Jensen and Shepard. Minecraft Guy and Mario aren't designed to last long, and the Lone Wanderer is just an average schmuck with a nuke launcher.

I'd say that's cheating. Unless you use only her and her nest of power tubes, you're talking about pitting an entire world's (remaining) population (including multiple officers/pilots) against one person.

My Elder Scrolls mage characters (especially Skyrim and Oblivion). Very powerful with destruction/illusion spells and very self-sufficient with never eating, drinking, sleeping, regenerative mana, and healing spells.

It's about as good you can get without something from WH40k and won't run out of ammo like my fallout characters.

The Vault Dweller (that's the guy from Fallout 1)
Why? He came out of a vault into the complete unknown and managed to (depending on how you played the game/what you take as canon) adapt perfectly.
I'd assume that if you put him in just about any situation he could surely overcome it. After all, if you can play the wasteland like he did, what can't you do?

Wouldn't the Lone Wanderer be the best suited to survive in different worlds. They would fit into most gaming worlds and they are from a technilogical age and so wouldn't be confused in, say Mass Effect's universe where Elder Scrolls characters wouldn't know what to do and the lone wanderer has been through a lot and could survive in the wild. Also, the alien blaster beets nearly anything. Oh, and the Lone Wanderer might have console commands.

The Elder Scrolls characters wouldn't be any good in a universe with guns, technoligy, etc.. as they might be able to shout or use magic but thats up against teleports, rockets, nukes, space ships and the absence of their gods and mystical energies (think about it if their in a different world there magic isn't likely to work),

Well, yeah, the whole point was I was trying to pick something massively OP. But yeah, I guess it's kind of disqualified since the Mothership might be worthless with the crew taken out (I'm not sure whether or not Fleet Command actually does everything. She is basically wired up into a supercomputer). Still, even if she has to recruit crew locally, things should still go well for her, and the ship itself is as much her stuff as Jensen and Denton's augments are their stuff.

Obviously JC Denton. His vision is augmented. He would definitely out survive Adam Jensen, he didn't ask for this. The only other one who would stand a chance is Elder Scrolls Guy, because magic.

EDIT: Also, anybody who says Commander Shepard is an idiot fanboy. He is just a normal human. Elder Scrolls guy has magic and potentially dragon shout. Fallout guy has VATS. Both Denton and Jensen are augmented superhumans. Minecraft guy.... Well Shepard would stand a better chance than him, and probably also better than Mario. But still, Shepard wouldn't stand a chance.

Are there any specific limits on what can be put into the "other" category?

Wrong, as of the opening of Mass Effect 2 hes something more akin to a cyborg. Basically, while Cerberus was practicing necromancy, they took the liberty of rebiulding Shepards body with about twice the speed, strength and endurance of what a normal man can do.

Shepard could probably unite any other gaming setting by talking inspirationally at them with the odd Renegade interrupt.

I should go.

Shepard is a cyborg though. A biotic cyborg with a cloaking device and a powerful sniper rifle who can overload shields, enter buleet time at will and bone any other species in existence. He also has a gun which fires nukes.

Insta-busts from NFSHP. Stand next to a guy? Boom, taken out. (Gosh I seriously hate that thing)

OT:Mario, because he's done it a bunch of times already.

Got to be either Fallout Guy or Elder Scrolls guy. As much as I love Shepard, Denton and Jensen, they're all too dependent on the technology that exists within their universe. Minecraft Guy and Mario wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Edit: Also, Elder Scrolls lore... I, wha- my brain is full of fuck!
*Goes on Skyrim and kills dragon* Ah, now I feel better.

"Hey Todd, there might be a Nerevarine out there who killed everyone in Morrowind! How should we canonise this?"

"Hm... let's kill everyone in Morrowind!"

Anyway, I went for JC. He's so cool :D
Present day, Bethesda Game Studios:

"Todd, how do we canonize which NPC the Dohvahkiin married?"

"Dohvahkiin be pimpin', Greg."

Oh, how about non protagonists? I'd go with my avatar - Vorador.

See this guy kneeling before him? That's Malek - the guardian of the elite club of superhumans in Nosgoth - the Circle of Nine. Also, Malek is part of the Circle with his whole purpose being to guard them. Vorador went and casually killed six of the nine guardians, not because he planned it years in advance but on the spur of the moment because he was pissed (not drunk). V-boy there killed only six because the others weren't around. Later on, Vorador made Malek his little *****. He also happens to be the oldest (human) vampire in Nosgoth. Forget sunlight - that ain't a problem for him. Water - maybe, if he doesn't teleport away.

I doubt the other settings can pull out a magical vampire stopping stone. Shepard, if he/she faces Vorador, can only beg him "Oh, please mighty Vorador, please don't flay my skin with a mere gesture" because he can do it.

But how can Vorador adapt? Well, he has shown himself proficient in hiding, also he can just go and turn several people into new vampires, if need be, and raise an army, or at least a small vampiric society. Ah, also, Vorador can read minds by drinking blood - this is why he is one of the foremost Nosgothic historians (or at least "history enthusiasts").

Dr. Doom/Dormammu/Thanos from the Marvel vs. Capcom series would take all of those universes by themselves. All of them would get along pretty well in other universe's societies as well, becoming overlords or kings and ruling with a merciless fist, and their knowledge of the universes would mean that they would know what to do and how society works, not that it'll stay that way for long once they're done. Dormammu especially would probably be pleased forcing all of the Daedric Princes to bow to him, and Doom would bring inter-Galactic peace and advance Mass Effect technology in ways they probably never though possible.

If that doesn't count because they're originally comic characters then Lucifer from Shin Megami Tensei. He's all powerful, so direct fights wouldn't be a problem, and he's not ruthless. He spends alot of his time traveling through time and just living like a normal person, he's shown, in the 1920's/1930's, that he can fit into a society and remain obscure. He'd probably be a shopkeeper in ES, a nameless scientist in Deus Ex/Mass Effect, or a wanderer in Fallout.

Of course, these guys are completely ridiculous in terms of power output and knowledge so it's really easy to put them in this situation, considering they've all been in it before. Maybe later I'll analyze somebody more... human later, lol, like Leon from Resident Evil.

Out of the specific ones in the poll the Mass Effect universe would prove way too much for Deus Ex/Fallout/and especially Elder Scroll characters. In a fight Mass Effect has Biotics, incredibly powerful spaceships, everybody owns a lasergun, and the technology is leaps and bounds above anything they have to offer. The society is also probably too difficult for them to handle at first, with all of that information coming at them at once. Though, the DE and Fallout guys should be able to adapt eventually.

Out of what you have up there, Shepard, Jenson, and Denton would have the best chances.

I think John-117 would survive better than all of them, though. Especially if he had the MJOLNIR Mk VI.

The player. From Minecraft...

Because he's the only guy out there that can wash up on a random beach in the middle of nowhere loaded with massive spiders, zombies, skeletons, creepers, etc... and, using nothing but his fists, punch down trees to make better tools, carve mountains into gravel, make usable weaponry from solid diamond, learn how to enchant all by himself with no study, and willingly walk into HELL ITSELF... to get glow-stone... to make bad-ass lamps for his paths... and perhaps some potions, which he learned to make without any help from anyone...

That... that hurts my brain.

Silly dwemer thought they could control space-time.
Well they kinda did, ther were able to make spheres that cut by breaking the earthbones/the laws of physics

So sad that they merged their entire race and became the brass skin of their giant robot Numidium which was destroyed by the Underking.

They will never come back. so sad.

I need to make a Es lore thread with all the crazy ES lore in it.

time travelers, spaceships, robots from the 9th era sent back in time because of the Hist/Jill wars, gods who are other gods who are other gods.
For the love of the gods that are apparently dead and not dead, please do.

I love the insanity of that universe.

Well, the lone wanderer moved from one world (the comfortable and security of the vault) to another (a cruel radioactive wasteland full of monsters of all sizes) in one day and not only survived, but became the most important and capable person there. So if anything the Lone wanderer has experience from being torn from her/his world to another and work with what they have...
