I just pre-ordered Ben Yahtzee's book and chipped off shipping using a free trial of Amazon Prime Membership, so woot!

I wanted to hear what the rest of the community, or at least those who watch Zero Punctuation, would do?

The book in question is Mogworld:

"In a world full to bursting with would-be heroes, Jim couldn't be less interested in saving the day. His fireballs fizzle. He's awfully grumpy. Plus, he's been dead for about sixty years. When a renegade necromancer wrenches him from eternal slumber and into a world gone terribly, bizarrely wrong, all Jim wants is to find a way to die properly, once and for all.
On his side, he's got a few shambling corpses, an inept thief, and a powerful death wish. But he's up against tough odds: angry mobs of adventurers, a body falling apart at the seams and a team of programmers racing a deadline to hammer out the last few bugs in their AI."

"Mogworld is the debut novel from video-game icon Yahtzee Croshaw (Zero Punctuation). Mogworld is a comic fantasy novel in the tradition of Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett, with a video-game twist: the main character is a minor character in a massively multiplayer online role-playing game."

Yes I shall, I might cancel if he will be doing a UK signing.

Not me.

His freeware games weren't good, his stupid little Machinima sketches at the end of some of his older reviews weren't good, so...I'm guessing the book won't be.

Yup, I will be buying it. I'm kind of curious as to how his brand of humor and creativity works in novel form.

I've read some of his books he put on the internet... but they never really clinched me. So, I'm going to guess that I'm not going to buy the book.

I may wait for a sample or something though that might convince me otherwise.

Aha! Spelling error!
Ahem...
No, why would you buy a book written by Yahtzee anyway?
He has a good show, makes good points, but let's be honest.
Whatever he wrote can't top books like the Similarion or the Dark Tower series.
There are so many books I've yet to read so I'm not going to buy his book.

Ya, I've tried changing that one typo but it wont let me alter the poll... probably because I could really screw things up with polls like "Like Sarah Palin or Not Like Sarah Palin" lol.

Anyways, why buy the book? Well, I've had a hell of a funny time reading books written by such comedians as Dave Barry and if Ben Yahtzee is in any way as good then it'll be worth the $7.99, not counting shipping hassles.

What? That's like saying "Oh I saw I film I really liked. It was great. It's my favourite film ever. Well, I don't need to see films anymore."

I've pre-ordered it, but it'd be cool if he did a signing.

I probably will. I really enjoy his writing, and I find the concept he's chosen to be something I'd like to read.

Please excuse me, I thought I was being clear enough.
What I mean to say is that Yahtzee's book probably doesn't measure up to the books I still have to read/finish.
It's like saying: "I'd like to see Citizen Kane over Transformers 2 because I think it's a better movie."
