I will be getting it if I can actually get hold of it in the UK without resorting to the internet. If it's not obtainable in shops in this country then unfortunately Yahtzee won't get any of my money. I do, however, think it would be worth reading and am looking forward to potentially trying it.

I wasn't aware he published a book. But I'll have to give it a shot. He seems to have a fairly unique (if not, well executed) presentation of comedy. Hopefully it translates well into text.

I will be buying it when it hits the shelves over here, but I think I'll pass on preordering it. I've got other things I'm concentrating on spending my cash on, so yeah, I'll just buy it when its available on shelves. Should be good though, I'm looking forward to it.

Probably not. Don't really read much as it is, and if I find the will/time to, I still have The Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z, Salem's Lot, Desperation, and another book or two to get through...
Seriously, don't read Desperation. I would actually sooner re-watch Mick Garris's version of The Shining than read Desperation. Ooh, I'd also rather re-watch just the stupid, hackneyed Jack Nicholson goes crazy scenes in the original film of The Shining-- that is the film with all the good parts taken out-- than read Desperation.

WWZ is good, but it gets too bound up in "The military is the only thing that will ever save us in the event of a zombie attack, and only the Americans will do it with a great deal of success", which is a little too right-wing for my tastes. The Zombie Survival Guide is a little less militaristic, and is good in total, but advocates that it's okay to light zombies on fire, which is a no-no. Because then all you have is a flaming zombie STILL COMING TOWARDS YOU.

'Salem's Lot is really, really good. Stephen King in his early days was able to do Gothic novels set in modern day and he was able to do it better than most, if not all.

So: TL;DR and in order: Good but not completely, Good but right-wing, Absolutely fantastic, and utter trash not worth the energy it'd take to pick up.

And finally, yeah, I'm buying Yahtzee's book but not yet. Maybe after I move.

I tried to buy it when I THOUGHT it was late last year.

I don't have much money, but if I have the spare cash, I'm definitely buying it.

I won't bother with the pre order, I'll probably just buy it from Half-Price Books at some uncertain point in the future.

He has a good show, makes good points, but let's be honest.
Whatever he wrote can't top books like the Similarion or the Dark Tower series.
Well 99% of books won't top Tolkien or the Dark Tower so what's the point of anyone ever writing a book?
Plus, that show you like so much? He writes it so he's obviously a fairly good writer.
OT: I might buy it, I know someone else who is getting it so I'll wait to hear if it's any good.

I'd probably wait and see closer the time and flick through it if I can find it in a book shop. Get a feel for the writing style and whatnot.

I'll give it a look. I mean, I was willing to buy the book that Maddox wrote, so I can give it that at least.

I'd first want to let it come out, and see what people think of it. I had a read of some his his past written work, which looked okay, but I'm going to sit on the fence about this one for a while.
