A friend used "pants on head retarded" in a conversation and when I asked her where it came from, she gave me the site's address. I looked around a bit and read some of the articles and signed up for the newsletter-thingy that day. Later she asked me if I'd looked at Zero Punctuation and laughed at me when I didn't know what she was talking about.
Zero Punctuation... I don't rush home to watch it or anything but if its a Wednesday and I've nothing better to do, you'd better believe I'm checking out for the next video.
As far as the forum, well there are some interesting discussions that take place. Enough so that I felt the urge to join. Though, I'll admit the thread that made me register was a thread in which I felt a point needed to be made but no one was making it.
ZP is perhaps the most overtly unique aspect of the site, but I was a bit upset that the News wasn't an option on the poll. That's how I discovered the site, and that's why I come back. Nothing like the occasional sarcastic remark in the middle of an objective news story.
Hate to say it but I was sucked in by Yahtzee as well but the little RSS feed of forum posts kept calling to me like a loaded syringe to a smack addict so I had to give in and troll a bit.
when i read this thread, i thought that it was a philosopical discussion, and it amused me to see that there was 666 views!
but anyway, i originally came for ZP, but i also really like de-rez. it's northern irish, like me! (i think, correct me if i'm wrong)
i also like the forums, they have very little fanboyism.
Heh, I also thought that this was going to be one of those "meanings of existence" topics.
Anywho, I'm also one of those people who were drawn here by ZP but ended up finding a good community. It's always nice to find a place with people who have more than just an internet connection and a half-ass grasp of the english language.
I originally came because of Zero Punctuation, but I also like the forums (I've been planning on joining for awhile, but I never got around to it until now), and sometimes I read the articles and watch the other videos.
