Ive pre ordered Black Ops and I personally am looking forward to playing the arse off it. Im buying it because I believe that the balence issues have somewhat been balanced, and COD games to me have always been fundementally good shooters (air support rape of thy gods aside).

So for those of you buying Black Ops, what are your main reasons for buying it?

I'm not buying it. I've never really been into Call of Duty much and MW2 really left a bad taste in my mouth. The campaign was short and the multiplayer fundamentally broken. I know Black Ops is being developed by Treyarch but lets face it. They're not going to be much different.
The question was why are you buying the game, if your not buying it, then your not really relevant to the thread.

As for me, I always liked call of duty because it was a very steady experience, other games I played may have been more fun, but they didnt last very long, and they ran the risk of just not being fun, call of duty is always atleast a 6 out of 10, even a year after I buy it, and that kind of dependability is important. It's also a great way to stay close to all my friends, since alot of them play it regularly, you could call it a staple experience, kind of like how MMORPG's are too alot of people, that game thats fun, but the important part is that its always around.

Plus the new currency system is the shiznit.

The rebalanced killstreaks and the removal of quickscoping, but please no more cod for a few years after Black Ops. There really isn't anything else they can add and any more would be flogging a dead horse... Lookin' at you BK!

I'm personally excited about the currency system and all of the customization. I'm a real sucker for any amount of customization.

I'm looking forward to Nazi Zombies. Especially since you can play as JFK, Castro, and Nixon. (I'd link the video, but that sounds too much like work). Black Ops is the main reason I probably won't get the Undead Nightmare DLC for Red Dead.

Pretty much cos I enjoyed MW2 so much. I loved the multiplayer and the single player was wonderfully over the top yet plausible. I'm pretty much buying Black Ops because I know I will like the single player and theres a very good chance the multiplayer side will hook me too. So far I've actually enjoyed the matchmaking system for MW2 but I'm keen to see how the dedicated servers for Black Ops do.

Well the main reason is that if I preordered Black Ops I could get extra money off my purchase of New Vegas (really complicated process). And I still have MW2 and play it so at this point its only to make use of my preorder

Because I have money to burn. Oh and it just looks pretty good, though my brother will be the one playing the multiplayer as I suck.

Well I'm going to wait until it is released before deciding to get it or not. I was disappointed by MW2 in that it was a very short experience that hurtled you across the world into set pieces without really developing. One play through, and I was done with the game.

If Black Ops improves the single player experience then I may get it. At the moment it's a rental at best.

well it was a poll option, and due to nearly almost half the people voting they weren't going to buy it, i believe the have the right to state their opinion as to why they are not buying it (as long as they aren't trolling and flaming i think its fair)
