It is delicious, also natural and healthy. Eating both meat and vegetables keeps you both healthy and intelligent - Predators are naturally more intelligent than herbivores and omnivorous creatures like pigs, monkeys, humans and mice are more intelligent still.

I live / work on a farm raising sheep and cows for meat so the ethical angle isn't a problem for me, we treat our animals very well. We treat them with love and respect, keep them well fed, protected from the weather and protected against sickness.

My brother actually tried to reason that it was cheaper to euthanize severely sick sheep than treat them with various medicines, but mum yelled at him so hard his balls retracted inside his body in terror. Slaughter may be the end of the line for most of them, but we make sure their lives until that point are far better than the conditions any wild animals live under.

I like the taste.
I don't get all the hype bacon gets though...
I prefer fish..
And I don't give a damn about the environment.

Oh wait... you were adressing humans...
I'll go over there now...

Greetings humans. Today I would simply like to know, why do you eat meat? And if you do not eat meat, you can tell why not.

I do not eat meat because I believe it is harmful for the environment. And I hate the greasy taste it leaves in my mouth. Also: "Look at me! I'm so hipster for not eating meat!"

Now your turn!
I LOVE the greasy taste some meat leaves. It reminds me of a spit. The more grease, the more I want to get out my claymore and smack some Englishmen around.

Lamb chops are amazing in this regard.

Burgers aren't all that greasy, at least the way me and my dad make them, and they still taste delicious. And yes, I've tried tofuburgers and beanburgers, they both taste nasty. Almost like they aren't made of meat.

I can't justify unnecessary slaughter to myself, so even though I liked the taste and it made up a large part of my diet at the time, I stopped eating meat. The ridicule I had to put up with when I gave it up was so absurd that it only strengthened my resolve.
You post would be less silly if people hadn't actually done the calculation and worked out that roughly twice as many animals are killed per calorie for grains and vegetables as for meat products.

Plus, the slaughter is even more senseless, since we don't eat the mice/groundhogs/etc killed in the process of raising and harvesting grain, for instance.
What are you talking about? The vast majority of animals raised for consumption are grain fed. Your post would be less embarrassing for you if you had considered the obvious before making an insultingly patronising post. Those snuggly little wood mice are as good as dead either way.

Why you steal my "Because pastries/dough-based breakfast stuffs/strangely relavent thing" saying?

OT: Obviously due to *long list of meat products* tasting good.

I actually found out from somewhere that pig and lamb is more sustainable than some of the weird vegan foods.

Because I spent several hundred millennia evolving as an omnivore, the so-called "reasoning" that one does not "need" to eat meat to survive is easily (and already soundly) debunked for any meaningful value of "survive" and because it's goddamn tasty.

It's gotten to the point where I don't even realize that I'm eating animals anymore. I don't care. The fuckers taste to good.

I like steak, what else can I say? And most vegetarians I know don't seem to understand why they are vegetarians themselves when I ask them. Or they are hypocrites without ever having thought about it.

Humanity spent thousands of years working it's way to the top of the food chain, to stop eating meat is like turning your back on all the hard work our ancestors did, and if you do that the Bovine terrorists win.

1) I don't like the taste of most meat, or it's difficult to prepare to my tastes (I only like bacon if it's been grilled to death)
2) I don't like the thought of eating cute little animals
3) I wouldn't be able to kill an animal for food, so why should I have the right to eat it?
4) Crops for food are much easier and more environmentally friendly to produce

Sadly I have anemia (lack of iron in my blood) so the doctors have encouraged me to start eating meat again until I get out of my busy schedule and have enough time to prepare proper nutritious meals

It happens to taste good. Also I don't know how well vegetables would taste smoked, which is something I like to do with various meats.

Simple I like the taste of meat. I feel no shame for eating so unless I had seen the animal I am going to eat soon (I had seen the fish and crab I was going to eat) since other animals (predator) eat meat so why should I feel I shouldn't eat meat.

Meat eater, because meats are, for the most part, tasty and nutritious. A salad without some form of meat just feels... off.

I eat them if I am reasonably assured of the standard of welfare. People will always eat meat, so vegetarianism will achieve nothing. Showing that there is demand for well treated animals however, will bring some companies away from cruel and cheap farming methods to more humane methods. Unfortunately, that is just how our capitalist world works.

first off, there is nothing enlightening about your post. so the fact you would have that as a option clearly labels you as a self-absorbed, arrogant PoS.

Secondly, it is in NO WAY harmful to the environment. Eating regular proportions of meat is actually the best thing for the environment.

This is my problem with most vegetarians. You praise yourselves for doing something you dont even understand. Eating meat, especially meat that was hunted from a local animal population, is not only very healthy but helps keep the environment in balance.

I dont mind it when people are vegetarians. I just hate it when they announce it to everyone as if they deserve some type of award or attempt to convert other assholes to their idiotic ideals. Please do some research before you spew more of those farts you love so much.
Well, 2 people have been enlightened according to the poll. There must have been something enlightening about the post.

You are claiming a lot, but please provide some sources.
This [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_impact_of_meat_production] and this [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Environmental_vegetarianism] is why I believe meat production is bad for the environment.
