Poll: Why do you play as opposite gender characters?

Other: I'm transgendered and in part do it as a way to live vicariously as the "opposite" sex.

Also, I like looking at women. Won't pretend I don't, but it's not my primary reason.

If it's a game where you have to 'create a character' such as Saints Row 2, then I'll always go for a guy because to me it's about putting yourself in the game, and since I do not have breasts, going as a female character is a bit silly.

However if it's a game with pre-set characters such as Soul Calibur or Alien Swarm etc then I will sometimes play as a girl, but not on the basis of their gender. I play as Talim in Soul Calibur 2 because she suits my fighting style; I choose Faith in Alien Swarm for her superior healing and infestation-curing abilities. And so on.
