Four words: Professor Genki's Man-cannon.
What game was that from?
It's going to be in Saints Row the third.

It's the car with the roof-mounted people launcher and the crazy pink cat face on front.

I wasn't going to pre-order it until I was told that was the bonus for doing so.

I don't get any extra goodies since I decided Gamestop can not have my money and give my money to Play N' Trade since that store is awesome. It's funny since the manager at the Gamestop I went to who was really cool was the one that told me to stop going to Gamestop. So, I guess it's a win. I only have Sonic Generations, The Legends of Zelda: Skyward Sword, and Star Fox 64 3D. Sonic Generations does have a free DLC stage from Gamestop but it's probably on the disc judging by the files in the demo. I'll wait for SEGA to officially release it. Which is the Problem with Gamestop's DLC. The Captain Universe skin in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is on the Marketplace when Gamestop gave it out for pre-orders. It's just useless. My favorite pre-order bonus would've been the Sonic hat that came with Sonic Colors but guess who wasn't lucky enough to get one even though I was psyched to get the hat along with the game. My favorite pre-order bonus I guess would have to be the Street Fighter 4 head band, I guess. Also, long post is long. I was just trying to prove a point, I guess.

I don't.
And I'm surprised that so many people can be talked into handing over money for a game that they aren't going to be able to play for several months.
I can see maybe putting $5 a couple of weeks before the release to get whatever swag if you're a big fan of the series but some of these suckers pay for the entire game months before they can actually go get it.
Besides, most games now-a-days suck balls. It's got to be something really special for me to think it's worth paying for before anyone's played it.

I can always find games, the only reason I pre-order is for bonuses. The reason for buying is a lot more, but for pre-orders in particular it's only the bonuses.

The only reason I would EVER consider pre-ordering something was if the price for pre-ordering was noticeably smaller than the retail-day price (like, say, half the price) ON TOP of various pre-order goodies.

I pre-order mainly for the bonuses, plus it gives me something to look forward to. One of the best pre-order bonuses I've ever gotten with a game was with Arcana Heart 3, and the Mei Fang '3D' mousemat.

I want the games on the day and work nights, having them delivered is easier than driving into town looking like a zombie.

Pre-orders are often cheaper. And if it's a small game the developers need the money to eat.

Pre-orders often turn out badly for me though (Fuck you DA:2!)

1) to play the game asap. If its a popular game franchise then it'll probably be sold out on opening weekend
2) pre-order bonuses

Other: To get games early, pre-orders tend to appear the day before launch.
Really? Thats pretty cool. I didn't know that!
Itdepends on the retailer. In the UK GAME tend to release their pre-orders first class on a Tuesday, meaning I receive them Thursday (In the UK most games are released on a Friday).

EDIT: Yes it is pretty cool!
