Since the age of time(80's) people hated who was popular.
Has nothing to do with beeing good or bad. I remember a penny arcade comic and they were talking about how is their world(and pretty much every industry i guess),if you succed you are a sold out,if you are rejected then you are just un missunderstood genius.

Her music sucks - she can't sing or write, and her fans think she's wonderful - and she herself thinks so, too.
This doesn't warrant death threats, but bullying comes with the territory of fame, sister. Ain't it a *****?
I've told her myself, in the most polite, adult terms I could fathom, that she cannot sing, her songwriting is terrible, and her fans are dipshits. I understand that she has dreams and refuses to give up, but I can't respect that because I honestly think she should.
TL;DR:
She's not only bad, she's completely delusional about her talent(lack thereof), and that infuriates people, including me. I don't understand who the fuck she thinks she is cruising around, horded by fans and a fucking entourage when she has no talent - her singing voice is grating, her songwriting is hilarious and she's just... not... good.

Because she sounds like shes singing with a tampon shoved up each nostril so high that it has sucked up all the fluid surrounding her brain resulting in lyrics that are more incomprehensible than a Charles Manson tirade.

And I obviously don't hold any opinions about her personally due to a couple of music videos.

to quote Yahtzee, THERE IS NO MIDDLE FINGER BIG ENOUGH to make me give a shit about Rebecca Black. I was only mad at that retarded song "Friday" but once it stopped getting played, i no longer had to care.
Her music is utterly atrocious, laughable even, but she as a person seems alright. Stuck to her guns as to wanting to not sing about something of which she has no experience, donated money... No issues with her as a person apart from possible thinks-she's-much-more-talented-than-she-really-is.. neosis.
I can't understand people who hate her. Friday is a crap song, but it's hilariously bad. It's provided more entertainment and smiles to the world than many genuinely good songs. Why would I hate something for making me laugh?
I don't have a problem with her. It's the same feeling I have with ustin Bieber. I don't like his music, but I can't say I hate him.
Granted, the song and production values were bad. Not many are going to defend it. However, I tend to place the value in this song in particular in its parody/remix potential. I mean, just look at these shining examples:elbowlick said:
Back on topic, though, what is there really to "hate" about her music video beyond the superficial? Haters of Justin Bieber get their kicks from trolling all of his preteen fanbase, as far as I've seen the song doesn't really seem to have an exceptionally large one beyond the people making parodies and remixes. The lyrics and content of the video itself isn't that much more "exceptional" than the other vanity press music videos Ark Music Factory farts out every other month, so I guess it's just the extraordinary amount of press the video received that's to blame. A shame, really. If one would resign themselves to "h8t" on a song "just because", I would think crunkcore would be a far more lulzier (and deserving) target.
Dont get what all the hate is for....Friday wasnt the best song in the world but it was far from the worst, hell Id consider it half decent...and I loved a couple of the remixes people did.

I personally think she's awful, but I don't think she deserves even a fraction of the irrational hatred that has been heaped upon her.
Rebeca Black isn't terrible, shes mostly just mediocre to bad. Except for Friday, that song is just hilariously bad.
