I feel your pain. When I got Wrath of the Lich King my disc refused to work, so I spent half a day worth of browsing to find a solution, a full day downloading that solution, a couple of hours trying to figure out why I was apparently on a trial account and why I couldn't log in, 20 minutes kicking myself for downloading the fucking American version, and another whole day downloading the European version. There are very few pains as profound as knowing you've wasted that much time on a game.the protaginist said:I loved WoW. Even though i was nothing but a nooby dwarf with only a rifle and ax to his name.
But my god, It took THREE DAYS for the patches to upload.
I basically quit after that.
This, i still to this day think that WoW is a fun game to play, and it offers almost limitless things to do, But, in the end it was the money that got me, so i dont play anymore.MaxTheReaper said:I did too. It's okay. I even defend it, occasionally.Nivag said:Shhhh. Now everyone knows I used to play WoW. I'm ruined!
Myself, I stopped playing because I wasn't enjoying it. I like my friends and all, but most of them I could contact outside the game. The ones that I couldn't become acceptable losses. I may or may not go back one day.
If I can't find a more enjoyable MMO.
I second this statement! : UGormourn said:I was a big addict... and I've quit probably 3 or 4 times, finally quitting a month or so after the new Expansion.
The game got boring. It changed. Back in vanilla, when I just started playing it, it had the new car smell, metaphorically, and it just felt more interesting... You could explore things and it was still fun. Then, the game became even worse... I used to like things like old, epic AV battles lasting for days... but slowly, the game just turned into a bigger grind.
Meh, whatever.
