Yep. Probably next year though.

The crazy gamepad seems to have a lot of potential and Nintendo's first party titles are still some of my favourites.

Was kinda bugged by the price at first, but considering it's most likely the only next-gen console I'll buy, it's not too bad.

Nope.

I only buy games that work on my laptop. I don't have the money for a console.

On Topic: Yes I will definitely get one, but not at launch.
I have a short list of game franchises that makes me want to buy it; Zelda, Metroid (prime not other M), Smash brothers, Fire Emblem, Mario RPG, Monster hunter , Ookami and maybe Pikmin.
Plus any new games they may make (The Wonderful 101 looks quite fun).
I know they have a Monster Hunter on the way for PS but tri was one of the best selling Wii games, anyone with half a mind at Nintendo would want to follow up on it, and I can always dream. :D

Ranting: I am getting tired of people calling it "gimmicky", so I made a small list of things who where considered gimmicky in their time.
- Motion controls
- Rumble
- Analog sticks (SP?)
- Shoulder buttons
- More than 2 buttons!!
- It could be argued that save-games are too

It may start as a gimmick, but soon it is standard.
I would rather they tried to and failed, than never having tried at all.

Maybe when it drops to $200.

Definitely not getting it this year. Most likely not next year either.

No. I, uh...enjoyed their earlier work. The much earlier stuff. I'd rather save the dosh for a system upgrade.

No for 2 reasons-

1. I don't want to be screwed by Nintendo again. While it does got some good games for the current lineup but will it continue to release decent (non casual) games throughout the months? I have no confident they will able to keep it up given to how the Wii had end up.

2. My current pc (I made last xmas) rigs is decent enough to play the current PC games and I got a wide selection to choose from which will last me for a while.

Needs more games I am interested in before buying a game console. I want a truly great Metroid title for one, I liked Other M in terms of control and gameplay, but dislike it for obvious reasons.

But I usually wait until there is double the around of the consoles worth in games out that I want before I get a console and then start getting the games, otherwise you get bored quick.

Also, you need a maybe result for your poll, some people might not be swayed now, but could later by something.

My 2 cents:
I'll get one, like I got my last one: for cheaper, with a magazin subscription, after House of the Dead is released for it.

Not to mention any current upper mid range (i5-3570K/HD7870) gaming PC will be vastly better than next gen consoles anyway (Thermodynamics makes it impossible for consoles to be even remotely close - especially since the specs have to have been finalized by now), so it'll play all console AAA's until 2020, not a bad deal. Next gen consoles will fall in around the upper budget laptop performance range if the rumors (and leaked design documents hastily taken down by expensive MS lawyers), unfortunately.

As for the Wii U, i won't be getting one at first. If it turns out to be something unique and interesting and have some good games, then sure, i'll get it. I'm a gamer, i wont deprive myself out of good games through some loyalty to a faceless brand. It's just whether the exclusive games on the Wii U end up appealing to me, since i'll still get all multiplatforms on PC as it's by far my preferred gaming platform.

Meh.. I don't think so for now. The only games I would even want on it would be any new Zelda that comes out.

I'm not interested in the new console generation right now. Especially if what is being said about the next Xbox's DRM is true.

I'm thinking about it. I tried the demo version at gamestop with Rayman and the hardware felt solid. The controls were fine until it made me play an extended section on the small screen. It looked great and other than forcing the gimmick I enjoyed it. I'll maybe get one when they come out with a few more of the core titles: Metroid, Zelda, etc.

The Rayman Legends demo I tried at Gamestop was a delight! The Castle Rock level was like playing a music video. It was stupid easy, but jumping over orcs and goblins as they sang, "oh yeah oh yeah" to the beat was hilarious. I was annoyed I had to look down at the cheap iNintendo screen, rather than the glorious sharp HDTV, but still the assist the A.I. platformer touch gameplay was alright. I would hope it doesn't happen very often. Only other game I'd want is ZombieU, cause I'm a sucker for that stuff--on the other hand I despise and suck at aiming guns with a joystick. Not buying a console for 2 games though. Maybe I'll get one at its first price cut.

The tablet controller felt good other than the part where its screen is much lower quality than an HDTV.
