Poll: Wii U or PS Vita?

I started putting some money away for an upcoming gaming device and was wondering what people here were more interested in, Wii U or PS Vita?

Id rather get a wiiU, it sounds neat and nintendo has the franchises to really make some awesome games with it, the vita... well it has nice graphics but the fact you need to buy a proprietary flash cart for much out the ass just puts me off.

I'd need to know more about your tastes in games (I'm planning on getting both).

If you're looking for more great 3rd party games, quality online, processing power/technical grunt and 'core' experiences (and a lack of region-lock), I'd say Vita.

Otherwise, if you're a Nintendo fan, or enjoy their exclusive franchises enough, I'd say Wii U.

I voted Vita, but that's more me being bitter over the Wii than it is a true personal commitment.

im going for vita because im hoping Persona 4 The Golden gets a release outside of japan and also im a big JRPG'er so more likely to get some more stuff on the vita for that

Wii U, as well as it being host to the main Nintendo franchise, third-party developers have taken big intrest in it too, saying it's (Nintendo returning to "hardcore" gaming instead of all-age friendly) so yeah, i'd go for Wii U

I at the point of just saying screw consoles and getting a gaming laptop, if I can find a descent one that doesn't cost more then $400.
