There is a chance a new developer will take it up, but as much as I would love for it to be released I don't think it is going to happen.
I don't even want it to be released at this point. The title is to grounded in the 90s for it to really be relevant today anyway. Not to mention that if the game isn't the epitome of perfection by the time it is released this will be the biggest let down ever.
It's been said that if they finish it before the date it's due to be printed and shipped by the company they're battling with, they get to keep the property, and the money they would have made from it. Even though they'd be working for free right about now.... Since they can't be paid by the company that has no money.
The dev team was super duper small though to begin with, who's to say a few of them wouldn't be dedicated enough to crank it out. I doubt it'll happen but, you never know how surprising people can be sometimes. And it would be a big righteous middle finger to the 2k games company. lol.

I think we will see it in some shape or form. Those leaked videos showed some very promising gameplay that sparked a lot of people's interest. If there is a demand for the game, it will get made.

I feel sorry for the people who were still hanging on to the hope that it will be released but its probably for the best that they be given a definite no rather than more "maybe"'s.
With time all the production staff will die, so it depends whether medical science can keep them alive for long enough to finish it.
Absolutely no chance. Despite noises that still give the fanboys hope, it just won't ever happen. The term 'development hell' was invented for that game.
