no, as much as we hate to admit it, human beings will always be racist and prejudice. and as much as people will say "no, I am not" they are, because subconsciously if you were to Chinese person or order Chinese food we all in our minds are fighting to put on a mock Chinese accent. or many other examples that i fear to post here.. lol XD

Re: stereotyping, it's true that stereotypes aren't just necessary, but sometimes correct. You should be careful with them, but here's an interesting little study:
University students were asked to state their preconceptions of fans of different music genres. Obviously, classical listeners were considered cultured while rock listeners were considered a bit neurotic and open to drug use. For some genres, these stereotypes were astonishingly accurate; for others, not so. Here's a list from most accurate to least.

So the odds are much better that that classical listener is a bit hoity-toity than that that rap listener loves them some rims. Watch out, though; a friend of mine listens to both (and plays violin and piano) - who would think she was a car freak?

Prejudice is just a side effect of forethought. Unforunately a lot of people just aren't interested in being fully educated or informed before constructing their ideas about anything. So this extends into their assessment of social groups.
A defining characertistic of the human animal is our ability to assess situations and create forward looking models based upon provided information. Prejudice is really just an ill formed model about certain groups of society.

I would say it is theoretically possible, but it would be very difficult to do due to the human tendency to pigeonhole people and situations. Humans tend to put other people into groups and classify new encounters in that way - that's how our brains work.
In order to bypass that a person would have to actively and conciously work at it, recognizing prejidice, and dealing with it accordingly. So in an idealized society that is possible, but then so is communism. And totalitarianism.

No. I really can't think of anything else to say. People will always find some difference to despise and possibly kill one another over. It will always be something. No, it won't end. But hey, we'll always have Portal.
Racism and prejudice aren't inherently related. A classist (which I can be from time to time) is prejudice but not necessarily racist.needausername post=18.69843.689066 said:

i think no simply because we naturally divide our selves into factions it might end in terms of race or nationality but we'll find something else to be prejudice about.
Eventually yes, it'll require some evolution/genetic engineering/universal indoctrination though.
