Not on Release Date, but I will definately get a WiiU as soon as I possibly could. I am just a die hard Nintendo Fan.

Fuck no.
I have no confidence in Nintendo's ability to bring actual GAMES to their systems anymore.
The turning point for me was Wii Music; it's a tragedy that such useless garbage turned a profit. But the last straw was when Nintendo openly rejected bringing some actual good games ("Operation Rainfall")to the Wii in America because they thought they were TOO GOOD FOR US.

Nintendo: "Fuck giving your console some badly-needed 3rd party presence, we have more Fisher Price Wiimote attachments to sell you! Now get back to jacking off in front of your TV to Raving Rabbids and Wii Sports Resort!"
Fun fact: The super awesome Xenoblade Chronicles (part of Operation Rainfall) was developed by Monolith Soft, a first party developer for the Wii. How's that for crazy?

(By the way, aren't they bringing that one to America now?)

I plan on buying after release as long as its third party and online is good. P.S love that they don't care for stuff like dvd player so I hope their focus is more on the games.

Maybe.
Definitely if they release an F-Zero game for it (F-Zero is one of my favorite racers).
Possibly if they release some other game that interests me...

I cannot take it's name seriously at all... The Wheew?

[sub]Damn you Tobuscus[/sub]

I really don't give a toss about any of Nintendo's first party games so that's most of the decent games on the Wheew down the drain and i don't care about having extra graphical power.

To prove my point, Persona 4 was the best looking game i've ever played and that was on PS2 graphics... With the original Phoenix Wright trilogy as a close second

So no, no sale for meh

No, I'm going to save up and finally get a decent PC. Should only take until about 2020...
But seriously, after the Wii turned out to have nothing worthwhile once you went through nintendo's usual franchise updates I really don't see this one being worth the investment.

Also no backwards compatibility with gamecube kinda sucks.
See this is a complaint I just don't get.Why would they include backwards compatibility for a console 2 generations old?A console that very few people bought in the first place I might add.Does anyone expect Sony or Microsofts next consoles to be backwards compatible with the PS2 or Xbox?

OT:Yeah I'll probably get one.I'm a sucker for Nintendo's games.Doubt I'll get one at launch though.I'll wait until there's a decent line up of games

On launch day? Even though Nintendo is my favorite company and they are awesome, no. I have never gotten a system on launch day. Hell, I usually don't get the new systems until over a year has gone by, The only exception I can think of was the 3DS and that was a Birthday present. I will definitely get a Wii U though, just not instantly.

Have zero interest in their consoles. Plus the Wii had fuck all games worth playing and i want something more than waving a stick in a symplistic game where the difficulty is whether you have wrist cramp or not.

Yeah, I reckon it's gonna be pretty good. Frankly there isn't much coming out for the current console generation that interests me (that won't be back compatible on the WiiU), and if someone doesn't move forward, then no one will. We all know how Sony likes to milk console shelf life....

No I won't be buying a WiiU on launch day, but then it's highly unlikely that I'd buy any console at launch. I'd need to try it first, see how the controller felt in my hands, get a better idea of whether I'd be interested in the games that will be available for it. If a console satisfies those 2 criteria, amongst some other, more minor things, then I'll start seriously thinking about whether to part with my cash.

It's more depressing than anything. Here they have games actual gamers want, but they still play Keep-Away like a bunch of assholes because Nintendo is afraid that these games could HURT THE DYING WII'S IMAGE?

(By the way, aren't they bringing that one to America now?)
I'm unsure about Xenoblade. Will have to check again.

Wow...it might be just me, but there is a LOT of fervent Nintendo hate on this site.

OT: Yeah, I'm getting the Wii U. Call me dull or what have you, but I want more Zelda, more Kirby, More (good) Metroid, and eh, I never really cared about Mario. And the fact that the line up for games are going to be ports of games I want anyways...yeah, I'm looking forward to this.
