Kinect for me at some point.

Move just seems too much like the wii but its black with a new name...and a big glowing ball on the end, which I just don't get the point of.

Neither. I owned a Wii for a few months, and I just wasn't into it. As much as I enjoyed Super Mario Galaxy and Endless Ocean, all I could think while playing them was "man, this would be even better with a normal controller."

Should Kinect ever get a Space Channel 5 game, I will abandon all other video games and exclusive play that one game as long as I live (or at least until it gets another Space Channel 5 game. Or until a more advanced motion detection system gets a Space Channel 5 game).

Nope. Even if the technology seemed promising, which it doesn't, I struggle to imagine how I'd play in my cramped-ass dorm room.

No. I don't have a PS3, so that means no Move obviusly.
Kinect looks shite, I don't want to have to get up and move to play games; they're something I use to relax, not get up and behave like a retard. The games look shit on it, or 'casual', I don't have the money to waste on something that doesn't work.

I was listening to the Xbox World 360 (British Xbox unoffical magazine, they rock) podcast from this month, and one of their writers took a trip to.. I think it was Germany, to play firsthand games like Bioshock: Infinite, From Dust, and others, along with Kinect. His report was that the games were solid, looking forward to them, but more importantly, that Kinect doesn't work. They kept having to get people to reset the sensors because it just didn't work properly, which at this point in time before release, is very bad. It was unresponsive, it got muddled easily, and it was laggy.
Plus I don't know how they'll make it so it doesn't get muddled,, people don't live in sterile rooms and move like robots all the time.
It's not going to revolutionise gaming anytime soon, and I damn hope it doesn't at all.
I'm fine with a controller and a chair thanks. It ain't broke, so don't fix it.

I am not going to buy the x-box 360 Kinect or the Playstation Move. Mainly because they seem like gimmicks instead of true innovations in the world of gaming. I am sure they will be fun but they just don't look that fun to me.

"Kinect is not aimed at our core audience."

"Kinect is aimed at our core audience and we expect them to pick it up first."

"Kinect is definitely not aimed at our core audience."

Well, thank fuck they made that clear for us. I'm not going to buy either.

Kinect has a shit line up, and I watched someone play SOCOM with Move and it looked awkward even when compared to using a gamepad. I hate that whole invisible rectangle on the screen, and when you move out of is when you start turning.

All they're trying to do is extend the life of their consoles, which means my PC gets held back from what it can do.

I might get Move in a few years, if some really amazing games come out that use it. But all the good games on the Wii don't use motion controls effectively, so that probably won't happen.

But hey, a man can always dream, right?

I might get Move if something other than shovelware or tacked-on 'Move patching' (hello Heavy Rain!) comes out for it.
It's a sure bet none of the AAA titles of the coming years will require it, since Move adoption rate will never reach 100% (I doubt it'll reach 50% even), and publishers cannot risk locking out their audience by demanding peripheral support.

It'll be limited to extras just like motion sensing is now.

I might try and convince my mother to buy Kinect for this fitness game:

She seemed close to buying a Wii Fit a while back. If she doesn't bite, then it would take something quite amazing to get me to buy one. At the moment, at least, I'm not sold on the idea.

First of all I don't subscribe to the gimmicky motion control nonsense. The less I have to move when controlling a character in a game the more immersive the game is, and immersion is part of the reason I continue to play a game.
This. And I don't want to jump around all day while playing. If I want movement I go outside... and I don't want movement.

I might buy it once we have some good games specifically designed for that use and once people say Move actually works well but unless that happens there is no chance I pay for motion control.

Not buying either. Tried the motion control thing with Wii and thought it was totally counter-inuitive to playing most of the games I want to play. If I want exercise, I'll go to the dojo and spar for a couple hours. When I want to play games I'll pick up a controller or a mouse/keyboard.
