Well, the Ext. cut comes out tomorrow and I'm in the middle of downloading it or not. Half of me says to take it in hopes that it can restore my love in the series (I was really saddened over the bad ending. I couldn't play either ME2 or ME3 after it and I usually play a game twice when I get it), but other half is telling me to not bother. Dawnguard is coming out tomorrow for me, so the first half isn't very dominant in this decision. I might as well look at it on Youtube instead of downloading it and playing through the entire Cerberus Base mission and the Priority: Earth mission and the Starchild.

I'm not sure. What about you?

Playing it. It's free and the game goes back to where they suggest to start (the attack on Cerberus HQ) once you finish the game, automatically giving you a save point right there.

Both.

I'll play it myself and I'll watch it on youtube so I can see how it changes depending on choices.

Not necessarily in that order.

In a fit of rage, I deleted my original playthrough.

I'm currently in the process of playing it again, but I only started yesterday.

I won't look for spoilers, I'll just be checking if people actually thought it was any good or not.

I have a feeling I'll have to go through youtube since my copy on Origin absolutely refuses to update, no matter what I do.

Fuck you Origin.

got a sneak peak at it, and let me tell you..

It is glorious. Shepard ends up recruiting Alistair, and with their witty comments they end up having a beer with the star child and getting it so drunk it falls into the beam and the reapers explode shooting galactic awesome sauce over every planet ensuring it's organic survival.

I'm choosing to believe you, because anything else would be lame in comparison.

But if you are lying, there won't be anywhere you can hide.

Well, I could never bring myself to finish Mass Effect 3 once I watched the original ending on youtube, so I might as well finish it. Go figure, I stopped playing right outside the Cerberus base, so all I need to do is play some multiplayer to get my assets back up to 5000 and see if this extended cut can pull off a miracle. Not holding my breath though.

Definitely downloading it. It seems like most people who are saying they'll just look it up on youtube are trying to make some smug statement which I find incredibly annoying. "Hey," they seem to say "You remember that game series I was really invested in? Well I was so invested that a horrendous ending (of which video games have many) managed to ruin the whole experience for me." Up to here I am with them. Then... "So now, I'm going to pretend, retroactively, that I wasn't invested by appearing all smug and distant, in order that the slim hope I am feeling that the new extended cut DLC might makes things even a little bit better won't be apparent to anyone else. That way, if things go well, I can say so, and if things don't, I can pretentiously claim that I called it." Well done you ponce-eating prick. Just commit that you think it will be terrible, or admit you are slightly optimistic, but don't want your hopes crushed. There seems to be this pervasive feeling on the internet that pretending to be apathetic to things makes you superior to people who aren't afraid to say what they actually feel. It pisses me the hell off.

choosing? You have no choice. I am assuming direct control. We impose order on the chaos of organic evolution. You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

Marauder Shields couldn't save stop me the first time around, what makes you think he'll succeed this time?

DLC armor bro, 35 dollars well spent. Marauder "Endless" Shields is more like it.

Pay to win? Christmas has come early to EA.

*Shudders at the actual idea if they implemented such things*

I would laugh if that was the ending. EA implements 1.9 Gb's of armor for Marauder shields to stop you from reaching the ending, and that ends the game right there.

There is no extended ending.

Marauder Shields just succeeds in saving stopping us.

Wait, what? Just noticed this. So if I load up my save from right before I finish the game(somewhere in the final mission on Earth I'm assuming), go through the ending again, it'll kick me back to just before the Cerberus HQ mission to make sure I see all the content? I mean, on one hand that seems like a reasonable to do, especially for those that didn't make a save right before going to the Cerberus HQ and making it so people don't have to go through the entire game again. But how the fuck do they explain that? "Oh, wait, it was all a dreeeeeam...." or do they not even bother?

No...it's really clunkily handled, honestly. The credits end (or you skip the credits) and you're shown....
. You then back in front of the Galaxy map and haven't gone on that mission yet.

Edit: Sorry, messed up the image link the first time around.
