Or maybe *gasp* we never bought ME3 at all because we were like "Fuck that EA and their antics" even before the ending issue.TheCommanders said:Definitely downloading it. It seems like most people who are saying they'll just look it up on youtube are trying to make some smug statement which I find incredibly annoying.
I should have done that, rather than sit at work all day being tempted by the trash EA created to placate us. At least they aren't chargin for it.Daystar Clarion said:In a fit of rage, I deleted my original playthrough.
I'm currently in the process of playing it again, but I only started yesterday.
I won't look for spoilers, I'll just be checking if people actually thought it was any good or not.
Everyone has their own opinion. And while some people did like the ending, the ending is still wrong. They dropped the ball so many times in those final sequences.Adam Grove said:I liked the original ending...

Bioware didn't change the original ending, according to their FAQ. The extended cut expands the original ending with some epilogue to give more closure.Ross Tuddin said:Hey I only started playing the Mass Effect series after 3 came out so i haven't actually finished the game yet, and i have a while as i have only rescued the Turian Leader.
Should i finish the game as it came or should i download the DLC and go for the altered ending?
They don't even bother. I suspect the rational is they wanted people who didn't finish all the missions before starting the endgame to be able to revisit the character and finish them at a later date. Perhaps it was to appeal to those people who don't like it when games just end, like the one's who complained about Fallout 3's ending, but seeing how that's a different sort of game entirely, I doubt that's the case. Perhaps it means they were always planning to make an extending ending (either because they had more they wanted to do, or the Indoctrination Theory is correct). Who knows.LetalisK said:Wait, what? Just noticed this. So if I load up my save from right before I finish the game(somewhere in the final mission on Earth I'm assuming), go through the ending again, it'll kick me back to just before the Cerberus HQ mission to make sure I see all the content? I mean, on one hand that seems like a reasonable to do, especially for those that didn't make a save right before going to the Cerberus HQ and making it so people don't have to go through the entire game again. But how the fuck do they explain that? "Oh, wait, it was all a dreeeeeam...." or do they not even bother?DustyDrB said:Playing it. It's free and the game goes back to where they suggest to start (the attack on Cerberus HQ) once you finish the game, automatically giving you a save point right there.
I think it's because they intended to sell dlc (obviously), but to actually play any dlc you would need a savegame where you are still able to explore the galaxy. Before the cerberus base is just the last point where this is possible.TheCommanders said:They don't even bother. ^ this. Wiki and youtube are better. I get the "story" without giving money to EA.Fr said:anc[is]I didn't buy ME3, some people can stick to their guns. I'll be watching it.
