Pre-ordered one at Gamestop already. I am getting one now so that I don't have to deal with them being sold out for several months after launch.

I'm super excited (but am more excited about Pokemon Black and White right now).

Even though Pokemon Black and White are for DS, I guess you mean you're foretelling that not long after Nintendo will release another version that is for the 3DS?

Well with how long it will be before I could afford a 3DS, the next version of it will most likely be out already. Before I could afford a DS, the DS Lite came out and that is when I got a crimson DS Lite and a copy of........Pokemon Diamond.

When I get White in a few days, that will make more than half my DS collection, Pokemon games. Diamond, Pearl, Heart Gold, and White.

I read somewhere (it very well could have been an article here on the escapist) that Nintendo is working on a new Pokemon game for the 3DS. It probably won't be out until 2012 (in Japan) and could very well be a 3D remake of Ruby and Sapphire since the originals were released in Japan 10 years previously. I'm not saying it's the best decision for them to make but they've done it with Red, Green, Gold and, Silver.

I absolutely will. Not at launch, simply because I don't have the money and most of the titles I'm really looking forward to don't come out until later, but I definitely will. The DS has, in my opinion, the second greatest game collection next to the PS2. I am definitely looking forward to this follow-up.

I definitely need to see one and try it first. I'm interested, but some decent 3D titles need to be available to sway my decision to trade my DSlite for a 3DS anytime soon. It's a definite consideration for me, though.

Seeing as how I just bought an old school original DS about a year ago, that's a definite no. And I only got it so I could play Pokemon Heart Gold because the original Gold is my favorite hand held video game.

Yea, I have a pre-order in, I'll get it a few days after launch as I'm away that weekend.

I'm not bothered by paying the full price as I've always had full intention on trading in my Xbox when Gold runs out and it's logical to take my DS in too, so it's a win-win situation.

I think I'll get one whenever the N64 re-releases come out, and also for stuff like Mario Kart and Pokemon. Played an augmented reality game on it the other day in a shop demo and I gotta say it isn't a bad piece of kit.

Whether you like the launch line-up or not, if you dont get one NOW you might not be able to get one until after Christmas. I dont do preorders either. I PRE-PAID the 3DS and Pilotwings and SSF4!! Midnight i'm walking in and getting it first!
