I'm actually excited about this game. Between Alpha Protocol and Dragon Age: Origins, it's looking like the fall/winter will be filled with innovative RPGs. So yes, I will be buying it.

Well, I pre-ordered and paid off this game a while ago when I had money so I'm just waiting until it's release date.

Simply put I like the style of game, and truthfully it seems the first attempt to really build a decent spy simulator/RPG since Sid Meir took a shot at it with "Covert Action" many, many, many moons ago.

The only negative indication of the game I have seen is that it seems to be getting very little in the way of press release/coverage. Really the only ads I've seen for it were in Game Informer where they were running multiple full page ads for it in a single issue.

Typically the lack of buzz this game has been getting is a fairly bad sign, however I'm hoping it will manage to be fairly decent just the same.

i guess no one has heard of it
I heard of it and already have it pre ordered on steam it looks like a mix of KoTOR2, Metal Gear Solid, and The Borne Conspiracy...
i want to see how the Dialogue system affects the game later on
so do I. I heard that it's taking the Deus Ex type progression system like the game progresses upon ur actions but nothing is considered good or bad it's just how the player percieves it...

I know especially since every time I play Deus Ex I get a big fat stiffy(not litterally) from the pure awesomness of the complexity of the games story progression...

It's Obsidian who are making it, that means two things:

One- It'll likely have some great dialogue and an interesting plot as well as a few memorable characters sprinkled in for fun. They're also extremely good at creating 'morally grey' situation and the like as well, and considering the premise of this game I'd expect that to be a theme throughout.

Two- I'd bet on it being more than a little rough around the edges. Even back when Obsidian were known as Black Isle their games were notoriously buggy. Yes, even Planescape: Torment. Perhaps a few cut corners every here and there, some snipped scenes that seem a bit out of place, a rushed ending (Although it's worth pointing out in Kotor2's case it's Lucasarts to blame here!).

Gameplay itself tends to be a bit hit/miss, so that's hard to predict really.

So presuming you enjoy One and don't mind Two, you, like myself as I will be buying the game, are in for a treat. I'm looking forward to it! This might finally be Obsidian's chance to shine rather than simply playing second-string to Bioware like they have for the past few years. C'mon Obsidian, show us what you've got!

Neverwinter Nights huh?

Yeah... Never got into that game, can't see myself joining in on anything the game has to offer.

I want to buy it. It looks like a good game. I suppose I will wait to see how it pans out after is comes to market and it reviewed. I just hope that it is good.

Now if only Obsidian would get to making KOTOR 3. I want to see what happened to Revan. *cries* :-(
