I didn't even know that there was going to be a collectors edition. I'm going to have to get that now. I am absolutely getting it. It looks like everything Fallout 3 could have been. I loved Fallout 3, but it has its flaws. All of these flaws look like they're being fixed with this installment.
I just recently purchased Fallout 3 after numerous rentals over the last year or so. Honestly I didn't like it at first, but the concept kept me coming back to it.
New Vegas looks cool, and like Fallout 3 I might wait a bit before getting it.

Definitely, although I don't think the CE is gonna be much cop. Poker chips, a deck of cards, and a 'making of' DVD? No thanks, I'll just have the game. Although I can see myself forking over more cash if it eventually spawns a GotY edition.

With Fallout 3 however, I think that's one of the few games where the dlc (most of it at least) is worth the $10 asking price.
My wife & I loved F3 so much I'm getting the CE for this. I think it's coming in time for her birthday so she's probably going to get that from me. Unless of course the Sims3 console ports come out by that time too. She would probably appreciate that even more. And in that case, she'll get FNV for my birthday. Either way, we're getting that game at launch.
It's the same engine and from the looks of it, it'll play exactly the same, just in a new location, with a new story and possibly some new gameplay elements.666Chaos said:

Yep. Loved the first two Fallout games, was meh about some of the things Beth did to FO3 but ended up being able to appreciate it as a quality game once I stopped obsessing about it not being an exact reboot of the first two games...so yeah. Definitely.
I will almost certainly purchase it in spite of the simple fact that Obsidian has yet to prove they can make a decent, relatively bug free game. They have the pedigree, they have the talent, perhaps this is the opportunity they needed. If many of the minds behind the original fallout games cannot do something exciting with the latest installment however, I'll be quite ready to throw them to the wolves and forget about them.
if it get's the Atmosphere i felt in Fallout 2, and have more, sex & drug and alcohol, Boxing, Mafias related themes like in FO1 or 2 i'd be pleased to buy it.Aiden_the-Joker1 said:
