If it works anything like Jump to Lightspeed, then I'm listening. Not getting it unless it's free to play, though. Nothing against the game, but I don't need to get addicted to an MMO again, and if it's subscription-based, then I feel obligated to play.

I don't know why, but I'm extremely less interested in the space battles than I am in the 3D CS thing on that cover.
OT: Yeah, I'll buy it, I was gonna buy it since day 1.

I can't believe all this talk I am hearing about "paying for an MMO". Is 15 dollars a month for an MMO, like World of Warcraft... really this huge game breaking thing?

Is the launch of this game really going to be millions of wallets screaming out in terror, only to be suddenly silenced?

You'll be disappointed, it's going to have a subscription fee. EA want it to compete with WoW at least, that means no lifetime subs and no F2p, until it dies at least. This is a GOOD thing btw, MMOs that are F2P are bad MMOs, they have fail support, lag issues and very slow/non-existent content updates.

I don't know why you'd feel obligated to play, if you don't want to play, cancel your subscription.

I was always buying it, the Old Republic part of Star Wars lore is the better, and with so much more depth and ambiguity. By far. Lucas hasn't fucked it over with a club and camera.. yet.

It's my favorite because it's more independent, allowing me to forget the prequels and move away from the OT for a while. Plus George doesn't care about it, so it has a good story most of the time.

Unless you count the time where he made KOTOR 2 release early (and therefore unfinished and crappy towards the end.)

HE didn't make it, he doesn't even write the stories for any Star Wars games anymore, why would he? He just has to okay them. His company probably forced Obsidian to put KOTORII out the door, and I didn't find it that bad.

True, though I'm speaking more in terms of him doing the material himself, not just forcing the material to open public for money.

At least we have restoration mods now, to help with that! ^^

I was already sold on the game. But I never buy an MMO at launch. Because no MMO ever launches without a bajillion problems.

I tend to wait 3-6 months to see how things kinda play out before I jump on board.

I'll probably wait to see if they offer any free trial periods first before I decide on making a purchase. I fell for the Warhammer MMO, and that was just a big one large disappointment and money down the drain.

so you rather stand in place and attack then accutaly moving like people do IRL? Sorry, but I guess you like the overully used battleing system then something more exciting then standing in place and attacking. I am not one to judge... but also that last tad bit while it may be true is a bit sterotyping.

but in all honestly, I am more looking foward to Guild Wars 2, a game that will probably blow both games out of the water.
Have you ever played an MMO? I've honestly never stood still in any MMO, especially when it comes to PvP, you are CONSTANTLY moving.
Have I ever played an MMO? Try like I have played so many I can't even count how many. And from my brother who plays WoW fairly often he said that while you can Jump it doesnt help very much. Seeing as most likely ToR will be a game were its hit ditection isn't that if you move out of the way you don't get hurt.

(also from this point on, I will not agrue anymore since I don't want to get reported or have the Mods wrath come down upon me.)

I was planning on buying it anyways, but I'm learning what the subscription fee is first.

If it's going to be subscription, I won't touch it. I don't care what bells and whistles it has. I will not continually pay for a game I already bought.
