I'm almost 27, and I've more or less stopped gaming. It's not actually that I don't have time, it's that... I have too many games?

It's really weird. When I was little, my brother and I would play through Super Mario World or Final Fantasy II over and over again, because we were little and really only got new games at Christmas and birthdays, and usually only one. We had one active system (SNES, later got a 64 when they came out) and so there were really only a limited number of games - so games were great and exciting.

These days, I have a major backlog of games that I mean to play, and getting started on them just seems daunting, more like a chore than a reward.

Guess I'm getting old. Ah, well. You young hooligans stay off my lawn, now, y'hear?

Been gaming since I was 6, dedicated my education to the design and development, and it has become my career. I'll never stop.

I could never see myself stop gaming. If I lose the physical or mental ability then fine, otherwise I see few reasons I'd want to give up a hobby that gives me such enjoyment.

I can't see myself stopping. I enjoy it too much.
Barring any unforeseen cirsumstances, I'll probably keep going 'til my fingers seize up completely, but by then it'll be all telepathically controlled anyway...

I will keep playing until the day the cruel twists of fate chops my hands off.

And even then I'll probably find some way to play useing my toes.

Before, during, and after death. Games don't need a specific age to play (unless you're, you know, too young).

There will be times when I have to play less, I imagine some as well when I can't play for a while, but I will only stop for good when the mouse/joypad don't fit in my hands any more.

Shitty browser games and free korean mmo's for all eternity.

That or you'll be given loads and loads of awesome topp of the range pc games and only ever have access to an ancient windows 95 computer.

Don't think i'll stop playing games any time soon, it's just that with age i will probably have less free time for games so i'll get quite picky regarding which games to play.

So my gaming routine will indeed change with age (less gaming time, only play few games) but completely stop !!! ... no way XD

I don't think senility is going to stop me; it will be just one more challenge. I'll add it to trigger-thumb, intoxication and cats under 'personal challenges to gaming success'.

There is no precedent for stopping gaming when you get older since video/computer games have not been around long enough!
