I gave up hope on CoD6 after I tried it at a friends house for about 30 mins. So no, I will not play CoD now or tomorrow even if it doesn't get subscription!

Not that I was ever interested in starting, but I think you might be surprised how many people would willingly pay to continue to do something they enjoy. What you're going to see online is what's referred to as a "vocal minority". It's hardly indicative of the actual situation.

Kudos Bob. Kudos.

You're taking this slightly out of context but that's to be expected by doomsayers. What he seems to be referring to is some sort of persistent CoD online. Certainly something different than what is in place currently.

I like the 97.1% majority for no ^_^

Nah I'm not going to bother, I just found MW2 boring and generic!

No, I find Call of Duty's multiplayer to be a bit of a joke to begin with. The only honest gamemode is Free For All, in that everyone wants to be Rambo and they can be. Team Deathmatch is Free For All except half the people will get extra-pissed if you shoot them. Everything with an objective other than killing people is killstreak-farming time.

That would be a terrible move by Activision, for one they would lose about 90% of gamers under 18, and it would cause lots of hassle and protesting. People who own an xbox already pay £40.00 a year for XBL, it is unreal that they are suggesting that we pay even more money. It is a definite NO from me, and by looking at the poll results, a NO from pretty much everyone else as well.

Less than a snowballs chance in the fifth circle of hell... In summer... during a heat wave... after satan turned up the thermostat for kicks and giggles...

I will only play single player if subs come into it, why would I pay for something that has been offered to me for free for 3 years now, it's just plain silly it is

If it aint broke, don't try fixing it!

No. I don't even play the multiplayer now, so I'm sure as shit not going to play it if I have to pay.

For me it depends on the extent they will be updating and adding new stuff on it.

I'm subscribed to a couple of MMORPG so I can understand the idea of paying monthly but only when I get the following.

-Updates to keep the game balance
-Better support team
-News map (If they keep releasing there 'Downloadable content you need to pay for' i'm going to stop playing.
-Really fun enjoyable game overall.

it's certainly your choice to only read part of the quote, but be aware you're only getting part of the story.
Excuse me?

I snipped for space...
"I would have Call of Duty be an online subscription service tomorrow. When you think about what the audience's interests are and how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities, I would love to see us have an online Call of Duty world. I think our players would just have so much of a more compelling experience."

"I think we could do a lot more to really satisfy the interests of the customers. I think we could create so many things, and make the game even more fun to play. We haven't really had a chance to do that yet."

Almost everyone is only reading the underlined part, stopping, then raging. What's interesting is the bolded part. I believe if we could get Bobby to say his interesting bits first THEN followed by his nerdrage inducing comments second (opposite of what it is today) your average gamer might have an entirely different opinion of the man.

No. But then again, I don't like CoD's multiplayer any more anyway, so I wouldn't be playing even if I didn't need a subscription.

So are they making people pay for the general online stuff they have now? Or making a seperate MMOFPS server that you have to pay to play? I'm generally confused.

I stopped playing the cod games months ago, I wouldn't be playing them anyway even without subscription.
