"When I became a man I put away childish things, like the fear of childishness, and the desire to be very grown up"
I hate most of C.S. Lewis' quotes, but that one I have been following since before I was an adult, swo it's not really a time of discovery of "That makes sense. I'll live by that". It's just a case of finding a quote I already followed.
I would always point out how it's suprisingly immature for every teenager around me to want to be as grown up as possible, to think that gave them power to do what they wanted and gave them the abilty to look down on people. I always thought it was more mature to do whatever you enjoyed, regardless of how childish people thought it.
Last week I bought some megazords. I do not regret it.
