I'm a software engineer on a paid internship. It's 40 hours a week but only for one quarter at a time. While I'm in school it's a part time job.

I'm in high school, but I also work as a checkout chick at my nearby Woolworths. It's actually quite a decent gig, nice people and good pay.
I thought Woolworth went into administration or did some other company buy your store at keep it open
I also live in Australia, where it is a booming company which owns many different chain stores.

That would defiantly explain it, here in the UK it went wrong most epically

I am working part-time at the moment in Retail at Cracker Barrel and I am a full-time student. I am thinking about getting a second job. Third-shift though. I got school, a car, and my mom to pay.

I have a full time job as a dishwasher for a fish market/seafood restaurant. Pays pretty well, but it's not what I want to be doing. I just need to work to save money and go to school, to get a job in (most likely) computer programming.

As a grad student I work full time when there's no classes in session as an IT tech. During the semester it's the same thing but part time. So I guess my answer is kinda both.

I'm in college right now, doing a course for 2 years. Hopefully by the time I finish the economy will be back on its feet and jobs will be a little easier to get... hopefully.

Right now, I'm fortunate enough that I have income without having to work. Therefore, I've been able to bypass the usual "do a crappy job until you get lucky, if it ever happens" routine.
I received a very interesting offer as a specialized hardware technician not very long ago, but the economic crisis screwed things up. They say I'll be the first to get the job once they resume hiring, but they can't tell me when that'll be. So I wait, and enjoy a life made entirely of spare time, living on my own.
To tell you the truth, the idea of giving it up scares me beyond belief, but the thick wad of green paper I've been promised if I do goes a long way to making me more comfortable with the whole concept.
