Discounting the usual action men, (i.e. Stallone et al)whose purpose in life is to blow stuff up, not recite Hamlet.
p.s. though Schwarzenegger makes a pretty good job of it in 'Last Action Hero'

You have pretty high freaking standards for "worst mainstream actor". I mean, damn, how can this list be justified when Taylor Lautner still gets work. That's my answer, by the way.

Oh man there's so many I just get irritated seeing. Tom Cruise is on my list of people I really don't want to see in anything, ever. Orlando Bloom I don't see as being as bad as his current reputation suggests, Legolas remains a favourite from the LOTR movies even with him playing the part, and he wasn't bad in POTC either.

The trouble for me is I rarely remember names, so I can't provide many examples of the ones I dislike..

Jack Whitehall, a british comedian, has recently started acting in some Channel 4 shows, but he's only mainstream in a British sense as far as I'm aware so he probably doesn't count..

Matt Damon, I would put up there as well.

And, while I may get some serious hate for this, Simon Pegg. Hollywood has gone to his head, and to be quite frank he is shite without Nick Frost supporting him.

Although worst is a bad choice of word, since everyone's opinion differs, so I went with "most damn annoying to see given a role in a film, ever."

Not sure what's wrong with Mark Hamil. Guy's the Joker.

OT: Either Jack Black or Adam Sandler.

Why the fuck is Mark Hamil on that list?
He's hardly mainstream nowadays and he's by no means a bad actor.

Aaaaaaaaanyway... Shia LaBouf, I guess. Or however you spell his dumb name. God he's bad.
I also don't like Jake Gyllenhall (or whatever)'s face so I'm saying he's bad despite not seeing him in any movies. So there.

Eddie Murphy. Although I don't know if he can still be classed as "mainstream".

He went from doing fantastic films in the 80's and 90's to shit family films with all the humour of a claw hammer to the bollocks.

In fact i'm going to through Kristen Stewart in here too.

Now, my wife and kids love Twilight as such I was forced (literally, my wife had a proper do at me to "sit with the family" and watch them) and she was shit in it.

Snow White and the Huntsman ... she was shit in that.

Flintstones movie back in 2000 ... she was a shit actress as a kid.

Panic Room, shit. Zathura, shit. Jumper, shit. Adventureland, shit ...... everything she's in she's fucking crap.

She's so wooden even Pinnochio gave up his dream of being a real person in case he ended up like her. She made the fucking Thunderbirds jealous because of her shit puppet acting for christs sake.

She's that desperate for jobs she fucked the director of the Snow White film ... The lass sucks .... literally in some cases.

Huh... no mention of Sam Worthington yet...

...

Sam Worthington... he's like Keanu Reeves without the ability to smirk.

See, with Shia LaBoeuf, I know he's a bad actor, but, lord, he tries so damned hard, I can't help but go 'awwww'. Still want to slap him one, but his shitness can be endearing, after a fashion... ¬_¬

Well, he's infinitely worse than an actor who shares the very similar name of Mark Hamill, so that might be why.

:D

I'll have to go with Tom Cruise, to be honest.

Guy only ever plays one part, and it's always 'Tom Cruise'.

Orlando Bloom can actually act, Mark Hamill is one of the greatest voice actors I've ever heard, Keanu Reeves at least tried breaking away from his Bill & Ted type-casting with The Matrix and hasn't really been big in the last few years, and I honestly don't know if I can actually name any films off the top of my head that I've seen with Kevin Costner or Clive Owen in them. Was one of them in Waterworld?

Wait, is Val Kilmer still "mainstream"? He couldn't act his way out of a cardboard box, and the only reason it would be a cardboard box is because he was inside of it.

Dude, don't mess with Shia Labeouf! It won't end well!

YES. Thank you!
I came into this thread with the entire purpose of typing those exact words.

Get off Hamill. Yeah it kinda died for him after Star Wars, but he is THE VOICE of the Joker. He was a major part of a lot of our childhoods through Batman the Animated Series(not to mention Star Wars), and returned triumphantly in the Arkham series.
OT: I could live without ever seeing Tom Cruise in a movie again

I would be pretty hard pressed to describe him as a comedian, the unfunny squareheaded self satisfied prick.

I would say Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as the worst actors currently working, for two people that are supposedly in love in real life, you'd of though they'd be able to muster up some chemistry. But nope and for some reason people keep giving them work.

Kristian and Rob are interesting cases. If you see any of their movies pre Twilight, they are damn good. Adventureland, for example.

Is Channing Tatum mainstream enough because if he is i elect him he made Terrance Howard look bad just being in the same scenes as him.

"someone else" I'd say either Kristen Stewart or Adam Sandler even though both got ninja'd. Stewart because she has the emotional range of a toaster and Sandler because I find him annoying (and the movies he's in are all eye rollers, if that makes sense)
