Poll: WORST numbered Final Fantasy (after III) story? (Spoilers)

We've all seen the debates for the best Final Fantasy story, but what about the worst? (FFXI is excluded, since it's the only numbered, non-single-player FF to date).

I'd personally go with IV. Cecil was the only semi-interesting character and the plot twist involving Golbez was incredibly predictable.

Guess what? FF8 is one of my favorites, and I'm not wrong because the contrary is your own opinion. And when people attempt to invalidate the opinions of others based purely on relative terms, I don't trust their judgement.

VIII's was good (So what, I said it, do something!)
I knew it was going to be a Love Story, and I didn't get let down.

I have to say X, I didn't like that story too much.

IX, it was just boring. i didn't likea single character in it and i just wanted zidane to die by the end.

XII i could link way too many characters to a star wars character..which was bad since the story felt way too much like star wars anyway.

I'd go for XII. Vaan, such a camp little creature. Balthier, again, camp. Grr...I dunno, the story didn't seem to draw me in like the others.

I feel like the FFX had a very solid story, there aren't very many plot holes etc and it's all pretty coherant. People bash on it because of the flamboyant presentation and overall gameplay.

FF12 had potential, and started off very well but somewhere along the halfway point it kind of took a backseat to the gameplay and sidequests (which I didn't do).

FF VIII I really enjoyed but I'll admit it had a lot of holes everywhere.

So my vote is for 12....

Personally I would go with Final Fantasy V. The characters were decent but Ex-Death was kinda lame as a main villain and I just wasn't grabbed by the over all conflict. Still, it's a fun game overall, the story just isn't that great.

If you had put FFX-2 on there though, that would be getting my vote. Terrible, terrible main plot.

I'll have to say X, since none of the characters were interesting, 'cept maybe Lulu, but that would be because the .... interesting outfit she wore.

Also the plot completely failed to catch my interest at any point.
