Yea but beast is blue and can jump high, BLUE! Compared to jubilee and that bird-chicken-guy-think, hes awesome.
He really isn't even that cool. Cyclops is a lot cooler and at least he has emotions...goliath6711 said:I'm personally tired of Wolverine always getting the spotlight.
There are some people who do think Gambit is overrated (I'm not one but I figured I'd throw a wrench in the works and see if I can flush some cajun-ragers). Cyke ain't no goody-goody tho, he's probably in my top 10 worst fictional fathers of all time.Xanadu84 said:For some reason, I always liked Jubilee. Donno why exactly, but in her defense, heres a exerpt from Wikipedia.
"As referenced by Emma Frost while training in Generation X, Jubilee has the untapped potential to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level, which in theory is the equivalent of a fusion bomb. Her moral stance on taking a life was observed by Emma during the Phalanx Covenant when Jubilee explained her fear of killing someone should her powers ever flare up again as they did during the Acts of Vengeance storyline in Uncanny X-Men where she destroyed an entire house during a panicked moment. Emma Frost stated that Jubilee had unlimited potential and was one of the most powerful mutants she had ever encountered."
I carry reservations about calling an X Man who can make a small fusion bomb at will "Worst X-Men".
How about that X Man who could translate any language? Great skill, but terrible X Man power.
From that list, Id have to go with Cyclops. I'm not even averse to goody two-shoes types, but he just bugs me.
And how can you even think about putting Gambit in the running!
Thunder bird was only killed because it was thought that Wolverine and thunderbird were to similar. So because Wolverine was canadian, he was spared and thunderbird was killed.Blue-State said:Changeling or the original Thunderbird. It says something about the suckyness of the character's concept when they are either the first X-man to die in action (and STAY dead) or get bumbed-off on their second mission

I found this post somewhat amusing. You defend Gambit on the strength of his characterization, but then deride Cyclops entirely on his powers. Cyclops is well characterized (one of the best X-Men in that regard imo), and his personality is regularly consistent. He has clear motivations that are easily relatable. Sure, he's got a strong personality and people hate that he's can be terse with <insert idol X-Men>.SilverUchiha said:GAMBIT? He's one of the best! Sure, his power isn't the most impressive, but as a character, he's top notch! He's only outdone by characters like Magneto with way better powers and much deeper characterization.
Cyclops is probably the worst. I remember watching the cartoon and all the law enforcements had laser guns instead of regular guns. This made me feel like Cyclops was a tad outdated because he had a really powerful and uncontrollable laser in his face. Meanwhile, every cop and their grandma had a laser gun in their holster that could do just about the same thing... i dunno... seems rather redundant.
