Beast is BEAST!!! Chicken-bird guy is funny...
On one note, if it weren't for Jubilee, the Reavers would have tortured Wolverine for years in Australia. Other than that she ain't done shit.
But I still stick with Cyclops being the worst x-man ever... Seriously look at his history. Wolvie is over-used... Personal favorites though, Nightcrawler, Havok and Psylocke

Jubilee is the most worthless. Initially, her only power is making sparks that can blind people or disrupt electronics temporarily.

Then, she's completely worthless when she's de-powered. But this is all because of her power, not her choices.

Cable and Bishop take the Biggest-A-Hole award in a split decision because they keep messing with the timeline and disrupting the canon... jerks.

For some reason, I always liked Jubilee. Donno why exactly, but in her defense, heres a exerpt from Wikipedia.

"As referenced by Emma Frost while training in Generation X, Jubilee has the untapped potential to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level, which in theory is the equivalent of a fusion bomb. Her moral stance on taking a life was observed by Emma during the Phalanx Covenant when Jubilee explained her fear of killing someone should her powers ever flare up again as they did during the Acts of Vengeance storyline in Uncanny X-Men where she destroyed an entire house during a panicked moment. Emma Frost stated that Jubilee had unlimited potential and was one of the most powerful mutants she had ever encountered."

I carry reservations about calling an X Man who can make a small fusion bomb at will "Worst X-Men".

How about that X Man who could translate any language? Great skill, but terrible X Man power.

From that list, Id have to go with Cyclops. I'm not even averse to goody two-shoes types, but he just bugs me.

And how can you even think about putting Gambit in the running!

There are some people who do think Gambit is overrated (I'm not one but I figured I'd throw a wrench in the works and see if I can flush some cajun-ragers). Cyke ain't no goody-goody tho, he's probably in my top 10 worst fictional fathers of all time.
Although I did consider putting Prof. X in there, considering he was always talking about being moral and never invading minds without consent, but then he goes and wipe's Cyke's mind about his little brother being wiped out by Krakoa, shuts down Magneto's mind during the Fatal Attractions series, took part in the whole Illuminati conspiracy (y'know the one that shot Hulk off of earth to that War-planet place)... Generally also a douche so no wonder his prize-student was such a douchebag too... It rubs off.

Changeling or the original Thunderbird. It says something about the suckyness of the character's concept when they are either the first X-man to die in action (and STAY dead) or get bumbed-off on their second mission

Thunder bird was only killed because it was thought that Wolverine and thunderbird were to similar. So because Wolverine was canadian, he was spared and thunderbird was killed.

GAMBIT? He's one of the best! Sure, his power isn't the most impressive, but as a character, he's top notch! He's only outdone by characters like Magneto with way better powers and much deeper characterization.

Cyclops is probably the worst. I remember watching the cartoon and all the law enforcements had laser guns instead of regular guns. This made me feel like Cyclops was a tad outdated because he had a really powerful and uncontrollable laser in his face. Meanwhile, every cop and their grandma had a laser gun in their holster that could do just about the same thing... i dunno... seems rather redundant.

I found this post somewhat amusing. You defend Gambit on the strength of his characterization, but then deride Cyclops entirely on his powers. Cyclops is well characterized (one of the best X-Men in that regard imo), and his personality is regularly consistent. He has clear motivations that are easily relatable. Sure, he's got a strong personality and people hate that he's can be terse with <insert idol X-Men>.

Longshot.

He has all the disadvantages of Gambit - a vague personality, a look made up of picking a list of "cool" traits at random, a mysterious past that turns out to be boring, an assortment of secondary powers for no reason - without any of the advantages. His "luck" power actually removes drama from the story by allowing the writer to cheat. His superhuman attractiveness makes no sense, his supporting characters (Mojo and Spiral) are just as ill-designed and overpowered and hollow, and his love interest (Dazzler) is just as shallow and out of place.

Basically, he is an awful replacement for Nightcrawler. He gets the nod over Jubilee, Mimic, Beak, and other worthy targets because he did more damage to the overall storyline than they did.

Thunderbird is largely redeemed by the retcons in Classic X-Men #1-3. Changeling has no excuse.

Bishop for sure, as awesome as it was to see Professor X get shot in the head, Bishop was a complete dick chasing hope and cable when it turned out she was the Mutant Messiah after all and Bishop almost ended the entire mutant race

I can't believe you put Kitty Pryde on there, she's probably the most generally useful mutant in the series. Phase through matter and tech genius.

Iceman... he's a douche and can go suck my snowballs.

I don't like him and I don't think his ice powers are really all that awesome.

Personally, I've never liked Wolverine. The amount of attention wolverine gets makes me want bang my head against a wall. I remember recently one writer even had the guy survive a nuclear explosion.
