AS an MMO I don't think so. The whole point is isolation.

As say, a two player on-line co-op. Yeah it'd probably work, they'd have to do something weird to compensate for VATS though.

My friend and I only play co-op games, usually same system or system link. I think Fallout would be pretty cool as a co-op game, you already can have companions. Having a guy with an Anti-Material Rifle cover you while you rush in with the mini-gun would be pretty sweet. But yeah, I think they should only allow 2 players or so and they're gonna have to tweak the game to have multiple players.

That would be sweet. A two man team of awesomeness. I like it.

yes fallout would be brilliant as a co op game
you could go death claw hunting with a small party of mates
or you could have one guy talk to a shop keeper while the others sneak around stealing everything, and then selling it back to the shopkeeper for caps, chems and guns.
not so much an mmo though because
- you would have random people using bots at EVERY enemy spawn point
- there would be noobs, waiting in the shadows and then looting the corpse of someone you've just shot down
-there would probably have to be mining
- grind!
- endless quests that have no meaning

It would loose a lot of what makes Fallout, Fallout the whole lone survivor thing it has going on(Before companions) helps portray your in a hostile environment with little friends. So no I don't think it would be good.

I would be happy with just two player co-op instead of an AI-controlled companion. I don't see it working with more players than that without significant changes.

i think fall out with you and a friend playing together would be good. make it so its one of those games that the 2nd player can just drop in and out of and when they arent there they are replaced with a bot like one of the current companions

and also make it so you are tethered together so you cant go off to vegas while you friend hunts some death claw.

You do realize that if you created a Fallout MMO that you would instantly be taking away the atmosphere? The idea that Fallout is, is that your are ALONE and you rely on no one but yourself. If you changed it into a MMO there would be "Lone Wanderers / Vault Dwellers" trouncing about killing the whole point of being ALONE!
